Can I still do missions

So I played long time ago and quit as a noob. I just did FW while I was playing and I have -2.5 sec status.

I resubbed and went to Jita, got a mission fit kestrel and undocked then got blown up by concord :(

Most of my assets were in Innia where my FW corp was stationed when I was playing, so I've moved there for now.

Is there any missions I can do without getting blown up?

-2.5 sec status prohibits you from entering 1.0 and 0.9 systems. If you run a few security missions against pirate factions, this should bring you above -2.0 and you will be allowed to enter any high-sec system.

So, find a corp to run missions for but just avoid 1.0 and 0.9 systems.

the fastest and easiest would be to repair your security status. you can use clone soldier tags or just kill belt rats in low sec until your sec status is positive. if your standings with the major factions are also tanked, you can use the repair plan.

I should buy an Ishtar.

You're not being killed by concord, but rather the faction police. Which means, if you are in a small ship cruiser size or less you can warp fast enough to avoid them. As the other folk have pointed out - you can repair your sec status or simply do missions in the systems you can enter. Or you can go "whole hog" and say f-it to the sec status and just live in low sec - which is the best sec.

I don't play, I just fourm warrior.

If I find a 0.8 space where I can do missions. Will running those missions eventually increase my sec status?

Do this, it's the most expedient.

Yes. Killing any "pirate" npc will give you a tiny bit of security status increase (Guristas, Serpentis, Blood Raider etc.) . They add up eventually. You can also do this in high/low/null combat exploration sites or asteroid belts. Clone soldiers also spawn in lowsec belts which drop tags you can exchange for security. Unfortunately, the tags you need to go from -2.5 to 0 come from 0.2 and 0.1 security systems, and the clone soldiers in these systems can be quite hard to kill with low skills. You can buy them though. For a price.

can I complete most level 1 missions in my light missile kestrel? Or do the difficulty get harder as I go into lower sec space. For example is a level 1 mission in 1.0 easier than a level 1 mission in 0.6?

They're the same missions, just the lower the security status of the system the better the reward.

How do you get to higher level missions?

Does it unlock per corporation.

Like I currently have 1.05 standing with Caldari Navy, what standing do I have to get to do higher level missions and roughly how long does it take to raise that standing, does it go up by doing level 1 missions?

Also if I reach a certain standing with Caldari Navy does that mean I can only do level 2 missions for that corporation? For example can I do level 2 missions with hyasoda?

Okay.

Level 1 missions: Always
Level 2 missions: Standings of 1.0 AND faction standings have to be above -2.0
Level 3 missions: Standigns of 3.0 AND faction standinga above -2.0
Level 4 missions: Standings of 5.0 AND faction standings above -2.0
Level 5 missions: Standigns of 7.0 AND faction standings above -2.0

Now, what does this mean:

Say you have Caldari Navy at 1.05 and Caldari faction at 0.2 >> Caldari Navy should offer you L2 missions but other Caldari NPC corps only offer L1 missions (Your NPC corp standings are above 1.0 while your NPC Faction standing are below 1.0 but above -2.0)

Say you have Caldari Navy at 8.0 but Caldari faction at -3.4 >> Only L1 agents for all Caldari corps becuase your faction standings are too low, once you get the faction standings above -2.0 you will open up all 5 levels of agent for Caldari Navy.

Say you have Caldari Navy at 8.0 and Caldari faction at 5.6 >> All 5 levels of agents for Caldari Navy are open to you and all other caldari corps offer you up to level 4 agents because of your NPC corp & NPC faction standings.

To check they also work through hierarchy mode:

First they check the faction standing of the corp, then the NPC corp standing and then the agent standings.
If your faction standing is above -2.0 then the highest of the 3 will determine if you can use that agent or not.

You have corporations and factions. Caldari Navy and Hyosuoda are separate corporations with separate standings, but both belong to Caldari State. If you increase standings to Caldari Navy only, you will unlock higher level missions to Caldari Navy. Doing CN missions will also increase your Caldari State standings at a slower pace.

If you get high enough standing to Caldari State, you can do missions to any corporations belonging to State, not just Navy. Standings required: L2 = 1.00, L3 = 3.00, L4 = 5.00 and L6 = 7.00

You can always do L1 missions to all corporations even if you're at -10.00 until you get above 1 in standings to the corporation.

Example: Your standings are:
Caldari Navy 5.19
Caldari State 3.11

You can do L4 missions to Navy (over 5.00 standings) and L3 missions to any other corporation inside CS because your standing is above 3.00.

NOT TRUE.

Faction standings are NEVER affected by normal missions.

The only way to gain faction standings from missions is by doing the storyline missions you get offered, which don't even have to be for the same corp you are running the normal missions from.

I understand now, thank you for the indepth description :)

I just realized I could actually run level 2 missions for the caldari navy, and I'm wondering what ship to buy. I was currently using a kestrel for L1's. But I want to upgrade to a Corax or a Caracal.

Which ship should I buy, keeping in mind I only have 45mil isk and how would I fit the ship? Where would I also look for ship fits because I can't just make a new forum thread every time I buy a ship. I understand I'll need to learn how to fit them myself and use fitting tools in the future, but I just want 1 corax/caracal (drake in the future) fits that I can save and use as a template.

Also for the number of targets you can have targetted at the same time, does that depend on each ship/skill or is it by ship classes. Like Frigates = 2 targets, etc.

Thanks again for the help!

maybe asking for ship fits is a bit too much lol

As far as corax vs caracals go in terms of doing L2's?

I'm a fan of the caracal, and look up the targeting skill (unless the name changed). The ships do have a max lock targets but you can be restricted to less if the skills are not high enough.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

Caracal fitted with Rapid Light Missile Launchers should do the trick,
Ballistic control systems in the low slots
Adaptive and shield boosters in the mids

Or check Battle clinic.
