Why is this happening after downtime today while it didn't happen before downtime?

If you're using the launcher, have you closed and reopened it since downtime? There's a small patch it needs to install before it lets you in.

They phased out the in-game patching system and now you have to rely on the launcher. Which means you're up a creek during one of the many times it's broken.

Wait a minute - having the same problem and I logged on today after DT, went through the patch, and was able to log into the game. Played for a couple of hours, then logged off (closed clients and launcher).

Now, open launcher, select toon, enter password, launch, and unable to connect to server: says Unable to connect to 87.237.38.200 on port 26000.

Any other suggestions? Strange that it worked fine after DT but not now.

UPDATE: Maybe the trick is to mention it on the forums. Pinged 87.237.38.200 and result was fine. A minute later was able to connect again via launcher without a hitch.
