That was a good fight. Our corp laughed a lot on TS, it sounds like your corp laughed on TS too. What more do you want from a fight?

The Answer: Winning

Well played sir, well played.

That is your view on the topic. For many people ISBoxer has a negative impact on their game. The question is if it outweights the good.
And whilest ISBoxer isn´t botting or macroing the program violates the EULA. Maybe you don´t use the features of it that do so. Also it gives you a pay-to-win advantage over nonusers, no way around that. CCP looked at both sides of it, then puts it against the trouble and costs to keep ISBoxer out and decided not to move against it for now.

It expressly doesn't violate the EULA, as CCP has clearly stated. I respect that you do feel it has a negative impact on the game by giving a person a pay-to-win advantage--Can you explain that more?

From my perspective, it's a fair trade--Yes, I can solo a C5 site in 8 minutes, but I also have to fit and risk 20 ships to do so. Someone usually won't blow up just one of my ships; he'll blow up all of them. When running Nestors, I have about 6 billion in hull and mods on the field. I also have to make sure I don't use too much mass on the static, scan the whole chain down, gather intel on any residents who may be in the chain etc.

In short, I can make ISK 20 times faster, but I have 20 times the ships to support. The only unequaled bonus I get for multiboxing is being able to do a site without waiting for other people with the proper skills/ships. If that's what you're looking for, then perhaps consider finding another corporation?

Welp, as a habitual multiboxer myself (who has never used ISBoxer though, just good old multiple monitors) I find what you do kinda inspiring and it looks like a ton of fun.

Banning ISboxer? Really? People complain about a million other things in EVE a million times harder and even those things they don't call to be "banned". I think there's certainly a little bit of subconscious envy at play - I know I'd certainly love to have the hardware, skill and money to do what this guy is doing. Lol

From what I read, see and am told it's sure as hell not paying to get an advantage - unless you're talking about seiging a stationary object then maybe, lol. It takes quite a lot of skill and practice I'm sure, and has as many downsides as it does upsides. Like others have already said in the thread this ISBoxer in question also dies as much as he wins so... *shrugs*

It really doesn't hurt anyone imo, it's good for CCP's bank (which is good for our game's development) and doesn't effect my EVE. And it spurs threads like this with hilarious screenshots and lots of misconcpetions plus a few tears.

Makes my little Dusette Squad look like a kindergarten playgroup and I salute you sir. Pirate

All my girls, versus ... you?

Even without ISboxer you wouldn't last 2 minutes.

And I'm not talkin' about in space either. :-*

- Multiple Pilots [Check]
- Sentry Drones hitting one Target [Check]
- Ability to coordinate Reps [Check]
- CCP lowering Skillqueue for Carrier Pilots [Check]
- Privatized SSC 20 Archon/Chimera Homedefense Fleet [Check]

The Isk motivation that guy has is not only "plexing" but here is some funny Math

Carrier Skills 1b*n(Alts)
Carrier 4b*n(Alts)
Shelter 500m (L Pos Fuel) + 2-3b In pos Mods

Lets assume n = 20 ...
Thats 20b in Skills
80b in Archons or Chimeras given seasonal Flavor
4b in initial Pos cost (wanna make that thing PRETTY)

thats roughly a Titan, now lets talk monthly with a plex price being at .. 750m hopefully soon (i know optimizm right) thats a rough 15b Plex cost per Month.

Now LETS ASSUME it would still take 9 months for a decent Carrier pilot that can utilize slow cats... that would be 135b in Plex + 4,5b in Pos fuel ... soo within 9 Months he has to come up with 243,5B Isk.

Thats actually not that "unlikely" and sooo it began in ...

Edit:

ONE DOES NOT NEED JUMP SKILLS IN WORMHOLES!

Edit2: Seriously if you guys want to think further.. give that guy a CV Hole Class 5 and good night an unstoppable OneManIsk Printing machine without any limits like Siege or Triage, warp in align, he doesnt even have to use t2 bouncers :D
IT IS ******* MAGNIFICANT!

But Bert SLEEPER SCRAMBLE!... so he cant warp out (Jamms work still)...
I want to see the Hero that jumps 20 Archons in one Hole ... :D

Some more Math... FIGHTERS!

20 slowcats with fighters in either a cata or a pulsar would be one of the most frightening things to run into I'd think.

well at that point your carrier might consist of PURE DRONE UPGRADES with 1 REP 1 ET xD

also i was reading this and smiled: "On The Development of Driving Forces"

After that victory the question remained what one would do with such immense numbers of nullsec players. It wasn’t like you could send them all to highsec or lowsec after the war was won. Since every single system can only sustain a limited number of people financially, more had to be conquered to provide comfortable income for the thousands of players among the emerging powers of nullsec.

To defend their space effectively against the remaining hostiles, Goonswarm in particular kept pushing the envelope with their newbie drives to maintain their numerical advantage. Test Alliance later adopted that recruitment strategy wholesale from their Goon mentors. Both rejected the idea that nullsec should only be for the most highly skilled elite players. Their message was, that every week-old player could be part of the nullsec endgame from the get-go. More and more players with little experience were recruited directly into nullsec. Those people needed income, guidance and security to develop and prosper.

One of the best ways to provide that is by creating safe zones. Ratting space deep within alliance territory protected by several bubbled chokepoints, gatecamps and intel channels. Controlling large territories became a necessity if an alliance wanted to maintain an environment where the inexperienced and unskilled could survive. That incentive for the creation of large empires has nothing to do with game mechanics. Rather than that, it is a direct consequence of the way certain nullsec powers chose to organize themselves.

Similiarities anyone?
