Oh you want ccp response ...good luck.

Obviously by this post I'm showing my lack of enjoyment. But I want sooooo much to enjoy the game for the reasons that I do.
What I want to know is that my waiting for something to happen is not in vain.


I'm not looking for Cheap Thrills. I'm looking for interesting and fun game sustaining content. Or do you believe that suicide ganking can sustain EvE for another decade?


Is it funny that the only possibilities for null sec are Renter, Pet (renter paying with CTA time instead of isk), or go back in time and join one of the major corps before they got big so you can spend all your time running high sec incursions on your alt? You have a pretty twisted sense of humor. But for me, unfortunately, I don't have a consistent set of 3+ hours to pay to my null sec landlord so isk will have to do. And really, your answer is to -10 them and then what? Go live in another type of space? Oh yeah, that will solve all of those problems.

Here is the problem.

People think because CCP has not added 'new stuff' that eve is dying.

No, what happening is ccp is FINALLY fixing old crap that was left to riot.

I have been here for 10 years, not as long as some, but way longer then most. And i am thrilled that things are FINALLY getting fixed. I'm tired of PI being a click fest and not linked to dust like it was suppose to, tired that the dominion sov improvements were never finished or built upon, that when the escrow system was replaced we got a watered down version of what they said was coming which don;t worry, they are gonna fix. tired that pos' suck, though they have received a lot of improvements, the fuel blocks alone made me cheer. Lots of things broken, lots of things need love.

I do not get this mentality of 'add more stuff!!!!' uh most of the game is old and broken and needs to be.. 'ADD MORE STUFF!!!! I'M BORED!"

The direction eve is going is, imo, perfect. You have to repair and rebuild the foundation before you add new stuff. So i am quite happy with the direction and the future vision. If eve, valk, and legion and the 4th unknown game (watch ccp presents sheesh) all link together in a way that works... then the future is bright.

It's always darkest before dawn, things need ot be repaired, then new stuff can come. Patience young ones, Patience.

Would you say that Tech 3 power creep has an impact on the PvP climate of WH space?
Would you say that Tech 3 power creep especially in regards to logistics impact WH PvP?

How effective are reps on Tech 3 Ships in terms of turret damage. 1:5? more?

Op. In my opinion, it would seem like you are ready for a break from EvE. There's no harm in taking time off to explore other hobbies/games/stuff. Your toon will still be here waiting for you when you return. Make sure your email address is verified in account settings for recovery purposes, and go try out some other games.

I've taken time off in the past, and I'll return with a new perspective on the game sometimes a year later, more or less.

I'm not asking for a dev post. Just dev attention.

And i don't want to want to quit! I want to want to keep playing. I think we all deserve to know what CCP is doing to help fix Null. Things have come to a head and now is the time to be transparent.

As i've pointed out a few times http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility i'm not the only one feeling this way. Lots of people have already stopped logging on.

And snide remark or not, i would like you to answer the question: do you think suicide ganking can sustain eve?

Please tell me what I'm looking for. I've seen it and from what I remember they did a lot of the past and present of EvE and not a whole lot of the Future of Eve. In fact "building stargates" is the only thing from those videos that i can recall that hasn't already happened yet.

How do we know these stargates arn't going to be locked just like the door in the captain's quarters? In fact we don't know anything about these things. And there's nothing about how they're planning on fixing the game.

But please, don't mistake my skepticism for hopelessness. If i had no glimmer of hope i wouldn't be here now with a payed account posting on the forums.

Time for a history lesson. GATHER ROUND KIDS, LET UNCLE REAPER TELL YA A STORY.

A long time ago, 14 years or so, some drunk dudes int he country of Iceland decided they wanted to make a sci-fi video game. they wanted to shoot stuff in space, and thus the seeds of eve was born. Eve was conceived in an odd time of technology. The trend for years had been to get the most MHZ then GHZ you possibly could out of a processor. These processors had single cores in them. And thus CCP chose to write eve in python. As they wrote it, there was no concept of processors with more cores. Then behold, in may of 2003 the great gods CCP unleashed there child EvE unto the world. It was only the beginning of there vision.

Around 2005 (give or take i'm a bit of on my processor history) someone decided 'screw mhz and ghz, why don't we add a second processor core to the ones we have! thats the ticket' and shortly after Duel Core processors were born. But CCP laughed at this and kept running eve on single core code. Eventually all processors went to duel core and the race of GHZ was over.

Now CCP has a problem. As more people started playing they noticed choke points whiten the code. If they could of has faster processors, it would not of been an issue. Bu the code they had was not optimized for more then a single code.

CCP did all they could to try and add band-aids ot this, but it was no use. They needed to change stuff. But they were set on shiney. So new stuff was optimized, but the core systems were not.

Incarnia riots made ccp freak out, and now we are into the era we are in. Stop adding shiney and fix what is broken.

You asked what was fixed? Clearly you do not understand the concept of code upgrade. Industry was an OLD mechanic. It has been in game, pretty much unchanged, since 2003. That means the entire system, and everything built on it, was written in single core code.

Touching it, gave CCP the chance to rewrite it so it could scale and use multiple cores. What this means is, if a system gets overloaded due to a fight, that the code of industry can scale and move off that core, thus giving the core that is sustaining the battle system will have less tax on it.

If they did things correctly, we should, once all the bugs are fixed, see a HUGE performance increase ot the cluster.

Every little rewrite, removed this old outdated code, and brings it to modern times. Evey piece that is not taxing a cpu means more performance. People ***** about TiDi, which was the band-aid to black screens during pvp.. (ask an old timer, TiDi is WAY better then.. blackness.) but eve is finally starting to get to the point where soon, TiDi may be a thing of history.

Thats the point. thats why industry NEEDED to be changed. That old code had to die, so new could replace it, something that can have other things built on it. What you are seeing, dear younglings, is a single piece of the picture. Things can now be added and improved because a core mechanic was fixed. There will be bumps and bugs, but they will get ironed out.

I remember people bitching that limiting drones to 5 would 'kill eve' but people got used to it, and got over it. The same thing will happen now, idiots will ***** and quit, but will return. Have a tad bit of faith. they could screw it up, but we will see. From my 10 years here, the future of eve seems bright. So again, Patience younglings.
