Question regarding Remap

I've heard people saying that once the year passes and you don't use you're remap... at the end of that date you will not receive another one. Is that true? Shocked

correct u will only have 1 remap per year, if your timer isnt counting u wont get a new one. Ignore some bonus remaps which u get at the start or as ccp "presents".

Confirming Jeanne's post. The bonus remaps are independent of the normal remap and don't influence the remap's timer in any way.

This is why I try to remap every year now. I "wasted" at least 3 opportunities.

Whoa! I thought unused yearly remaps would accumulate.

So if my character sheet currently shows:
Neural Remap Available
2014.10.20 00:55:01 Remap Now
after the above date it would change to 2015.10.20 .... and I would lose a remap opportunity?


If I applied my remap today would the
1) above date stay the same
2) 'Remap Now' would change to 'Unavailable'?
3) on the above date 'Remap Now' button would reappear?

You can remap 365 days after your last remap. They do not "build up". Its just a simple countdown timer that determines when you can remap again.

So, you don't get a new remap with each Eve birthday that can be applied any time during the year? You're stuck with each remap for at least 365 days (excluding bonus remaps).

With that kind of long term commitment it's hard to imagine applying something other than one of Tau's generic fits unless you are very disciplined, or rolling a specialized alt.

Eve is a long term commitment. Use Evemon to make a skill plan so you're not wasting remaps.

The once a year remap is plenty especially if you combine it with bonus and initial free remaps given.

Your annual remap is NOT AVAILABLE until 2014.10.20 00:55:01

If you remap now, you will consume a bonus remap.

You have an annual remap when you see:

Neural Remap Available
Now

Bonus remaps are only used when the annual is not available.
