Offlining Pos Mods with Jobs running

Now that Crius is live, I'm tearing down all the excess labs on my POS. I still have ME and PE jobs running that were installed pre-Crius. I looked at the jobs and it says it's being run out of the station where the BPO was stored and says nothing about which lab it was in.

So my question is, does the game actually even know anymore? Can I tell which lab the job was in and leave that one running or will it even matter? If I offline the one it was started in will it cancel the job? The interface is not providing me any feedback on this.

I'm in the middle of stripping everything off of the one so I can take it down. Just want to make sure I don't cancel my research jobs by accident. Once it's stripped, I'm taking it down and going to a single tower.

As to whether I could take down both POS and not lose any jobs???? No idea.

Offline the labs, if the jobs are still ticking down you can unanchor, if not reonline, you only lost a couple of minutes!

At this point, the only thing that matters in terms of which lab you are using is which hanger bay the job output goes into. It's entirely possible that when the job is finished, it won't have anywhere to go but I have no idea really.

Oh damn you're absolutely right! Offline only pauses the job!

CCP dev claimed on the help channel that unless the job is a Supercap build, if the "facility" is a station, the POS that was previously used for the job can be torn down and the job will complete.

I assume this is probably true at least for ME/TE research. Copying I'm not as certain (there output normally appears at the POS)

Invention jobs still show the POS as the facility so those would obviously be hosed.

I asked this question else, below is a copy. I have taken down 2 pos's now and all jobs still find and running from the station. Just debating whether I take down my last POS or not. Kind of like the idea of being able to go off for a few days and not worry about whether I've been wardecced and tower taken down. Seems a small price to pay for some lost profits. lol

I have noticed a couple of things that would be nice to get clarified.

1. I have a POS and got as many ME/TE jobs as I could running before patch. However, when I go into Jobs, the Facility column is showing the station where my Blueprints are stored and NOT my various labs. Does this mean I can take down my POS and/or remove excess labs now without having to wait for jobs to complete???

2. I used to be able to go into the Corp Blueprints tab and look in the various Corp Division hangars which I used to organise various groups. When there was a BP with the stats I wanted to take, I could Right-Click and Deliver it to my Sales Hangar or Personal Hangar. Now, when on the Blueprints tab in Industry when I Right-Click there is no Deliver option. I have many of the same print and many prints so looking in the Inventory for which one I want is very time consuming. Am I missing how to do this now or an we have Deliver option back?

To part 1, were the jobs being run remotely? By this I mean, Blueprints in the station using the modules in your POS?

If that is the case, we have moved all jobs that were running remotely to the station where the blueprint was based.

Yes, we're going to die, but you're coming with us!

Thanks Takanuro! That's exactly what I was hoping (and what I suspected)! Also thanks for CCP Claymore for that answer, even though it wasn't presented here. :D Now when I get home I can strip my towers! Yay!

That makes perfect sense too. Logical solution.

Thanks for the info!

...and confirming this worked.

Finished the invention jobs (boo, didn't get the favorable ME transition for in-progress invention but didn't really expect it) and took them out, then wrapped up the whole POS. 6 ME jobs and 4 copy jobs continue at the nearby station without issues.

I've tried the same, left only one lab per type (Research and Design) online, all the other labs offlined, unachored and stored in station. Then something weird happended, BPOs appeared in station hangars (where they were when the jobs started), I can move them around, but the corresponding jobs seem to be still running. Is this the intended behaviour?

Likely not, bug report it? If you're lucky your BPO's just made babies.
