Wardec shedding tactics

Any new tactics since the latest changes? I could see something like creating a few big alliances with a bunch of useless characters such as cynos and traders and any extraneous unused character slots and hopping the corp between those thus raising the price of maintaining the wardec in addition to of course dropping any characters from the corp to deny any action. This way wardeccers will be conditioned that any wardecs are not only futile but expensive and hopefully cease to exist. In addition CCP will realize that inconveniencing players to drop out of a player corp to "encourage" high-sec warfare is basically not a very smart idea and basically only frustrates those who don't want to fight.

The best way to not get war decs is to stop being a trash player and get out of high sec.

You can't escape from PvP in EVE, you can avoid it but it'll always be there waiting. Wardecs can be shed, but that won't stop a ganker. You can move to low, but that won't stop of the pirates. You can move to Null, but that won't stop the Alliances. Highsec wardecs can be 'avoided' by blue balling the enemy corps. Thoroughly Thrashing the enemy corps so on and so forth. You can do the more sleazy way of dropping corp, closing corp, and so on. But honestly that'll make you more a target.

However EVE being EVE, it's really hard to avoid death with someone really wants you dead.

As for those who 'don't want to fight' They are in the wrong game. I really can not believe that people actually play the game with one account only expecting to mission/indy/mine and nothing else and somehow not be involved with PvP. That's what ruins the game for them, expectations that shouldn't exist.

The best way to shed war decs is to quit eve and play another game or perhaps take up gardening. I did extensive research last fall and verified that no empire war dec corp has followed an ex eve player into their backyard.

If you would prefer to stay in eve then here's some food for thought. Many many many of the empire war dec corp guys know each other. They have chat channels where they discuss things. If they decide to engage you, there really isn't much you can do that they can't counter. Whatever you come up with, they will overcome. The only (ONLY) way to avoid war decs is to join NPC corps.

They put an opressive (my opinion) tax rate of 10% on NPC corp guys to drive them into player corps pretty much so they can be dec'd and become subject to all those mechanics. See what's going on?? CCP is pushing you to get into the combat arena. It's a PVP game - that's how it works. If you don't like it, then join an NPC corp and start threads about getting ganked and high taxes.

Most importantly - DO NOT ACCEPT THE GAME FOR WHAT IT IS. Keep the stream of complaints coming. It helps the war dec corps figure out where to direct their efforts.

I know none of this is what you want to hear, but I also know what you want won't ever exist.

Stay perma docked during wardec. Commence trashtalk in local for the wartargets and claim victory by not dying. Watch as the wardeccer tears flow.Roll

It's how all nullsec entities did to attain their sov. Yes even the now defunct BOB and the grrGOONS did it. Even the entirety of BNI does it.Roll

Use common sense and hope your fellow corpie / alliance mates do the same.

- keep your local chat separate from others and extended to show everyone in your system and watch it like a hawk.

- watch-list all the war-targets corp members so you know when it is safe to move around

- use cov ops or alts as guides when moving around and have out of corp friends / alts to move freight around

- mine in Ventures not slow aligning barges (war alts can bump u to keep u from warping)

- watch for combat probes when mission running (& put your bling ship away)

- set up several inta-warp-undock bookmarks for leaving station and a warp-to-zero bookmark also

Though not "new" suggestions there are easily another dozen I could include here other than be paranoid and act as chaotic as possible given your circumstance. The fewer kills you give them the better and If they are going to kill you make them work hard for it.

Leave the chicken coup of high sec ---> Avoid War decs

Rarely do you see wars in low sec since everyone can be shot already

Tough to tell new players to the game that we're in a perpetual wardec and if they want the increased safety of high sec they need to quit joining corps. At least if that is the answer. Esp if they are all "trash players" who know nothing anyhow.

Yes all players are under the threat of being killed at any place and any time. Grief deccing is just a good way to add more ppl to have to worry about.

Wardecs are cheap and you can just alternate corps to wardec with. Like the war we are in atm. (Panic. alternates with Deadly Fingertips)
I think 50 mil up to 51 players 500 mil at 2000, not like the wardec corp loses much of anything. Isk is cheap from incursions.

Apparently I should take up gardening.
After playing so much eve I'm sure i will be "Yard Decced" at some point.

Make sure to rotate you stuff every year. It's a good way to minimize the risk of late blight for both tomatos and peppers. There is a lot of that around.

My point is that there is no mechanic or code change that is going to keep other folks from doing what they want. Put guns on your ships and fight them hard. Most of the HS griefer types will disappear. They are looking for easy victims.

The upside of fighting back is that it is a lot of fun. It really is.

Well, most high sec griefers are scraping the bottom of the barrel. So, don't be the bottom of the barrel? You're worse than them, in that you're looking for some kind of loophole instead of playing the actual game.

If somebody is bullying you, you punch them in the face. Crying won't do anything.

I suppose we have to start off as gnats, before we can get to be wasps. But yes, we definitely are prime targets atm.

Make a chat channel for your corp mates and drop to an NPC corp for the war duration (leave a holding character in your real corp to keep things open). Actually trying to interact with a wardec you have no interest in is basically exposing yourself to all the risk of dangerous space without any of the rewards and will make activities that are worth doing primarily because they are easy (like hisec mining) mind-numbingly tedious.

Also any non-******** wardeccers will be scouting you with neutral alts you will have no means of identifying since hisec sytems are perpetually cluttered with random passersby in local.
