S, M, L, or XL?

Gamma settings would be nice. Some laptops do horrible things to visibility in various lighting conditions

Considering how bright and dark areas of Eve look, it does seem rather odd this has never made it into Eve before. Would be nice.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Well, look how long it took them to give us anti-aliasing. Ugh

Adjust your monitor

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

Adjust your driver settings..

Easy peasy in all NVIDIA, AMD and Intel drivers.

The problem is that everything else is fine, it's just eve. You want us to **** with driver settings for just eve?

If we could get conformation that SweetFX is ok to use, then we could change it with that. I mean, if we are allowed to cheat with ISBoxer, surely SweetFX is allowed, right?

Because the Legacy Code has too much Psssssssssssssssh, nothing will ever get fixed until CCP stop wasting money on failed sparkle MMOs and instead rewrite the entire backend of EvE from scratch.

You're not supposed to change your driver settings. You're supposed to create an application profile for EVE. It will then use those settings automatically for that program and that program only. That said it would be simpler for a user, if the game just had a gamma setting included.

You are probably fooling yourself.

Most monitors are over-saturated, because it sells better on display shelves.

Buy yourself a colour calibrator. It is especially useful when using multiple monitors. I have a Spyder 3 Elite from Datacolor that I purchased at a photography store.

These were the same arguments pre-AA. "Just go into your drivers and set them."

The point is this: All modern games (even the ones that suck) have gamma settings. But for some reason CCP doesnt see it as important....until enough of us make noise about it. So start making noise or things will never change.

There's no reason not to put a gamma setting in Eve. Visibility can change from minute to minute, and can often be related to conditions that have nothing to do with your settings or hardware. Alt-tabbing to change my drivers or keeping the driver controls permanently open on a second monitor is just silly and unreasonable.

Gamma controls have been around since Doom and Quake. What's the big deal?

I don't even need it. I know I don't need it because I just assumed it was there and never checked, then was shocked to find it didn't exist after playing the game for 8 months. Can we please get a standard setting that's been part of the industry for 2 decades instead of Hurr-Durring about it and acting like needlessly complicated workarounds are just fine?

Sure, let me just **** out a few hundred dollars.
