Mining drones?

So, I'm out on a long haul explo run into null, running sites, ninja salvage, solo PvP and other meta antics.

Currently in a system where gates are piled high with warp bubbles and clouds of junk.

If I burn for the gate, will the drones/wrecks/etc bump me off course and reduce speed?

I honestly don't know, but not much I'd guess.

The biggest threat is for them to decloak you if you're flying a cloaky and get within 2km of any object (including corpses Ugh), which is also the reason why sometimes players leave or drop them on purpose.

I realise that. Boat is fairly well tanked, and with MWD I should be able to blast to the gate fairly easily if the garbage won't make a pachinko game out of me.

Then just make sure your overview is set to 'show all brackets', manually check on your screen if the path to the gate is fairly clear, if not manually approach gate at a very slight angle. You can jump within 2,000m of the gate model, which is very big even on non-regional gates.

Don't forget to overheat that mwd.

drones / wrecks wont bump you but they will decloak you

Confirmed. Drones and wrecks don't bump. Made it out safely. Got chased by some feisty russians though. Free to annoy nullbears once more! Thanks all.

if you knock into anything yes it will bump you slightly, your not going to go flying unless you impact at very high speedor warp inside of it

also beware those will decloak you as well and can flood your overview to the point you miss an incoming ship
