What's it about? What is CCP going to cook up in 6 weeks or however long their new release schedule is? When will sov warfare suck less? When will POSes get redone? When will the game get new areas of space to explore? THE NUMBERS, MASON, WHAT DO THE NUMBERS MEAN?!

Here is release schedule for creek gods. Next one is called Hyperion and it is coming two months after Crius.

I heard that POS will be overhauled, OGB removed, capitals rebalanced, and sov overhauled "after Crius." So "after crius" is shaping up to be the biggest expansion yet. Roll

It wont be anything exciting. CCP will spend 5 of the next 6 weeks fixing this one. So expect bug fixes and some changes to stuff that didnt really need it. ie. overview tool tips.

Made a signature so I am taken seriously on the forums, since thats the only thing they are good for.

Note the lack of any information about it though. No feedback collected at all on anything and only 2 months away means a very short feedback cycle. If any player feedback.

A lot of people are looking at the releases in the wrong way.

They're not really 'Expansions'. They're slots that CCP can stick whatever is ready into.

That way, a piece of work that takes 4 weeks comes out in 6 weeks, rather than 6 months later. A piece of work that takes 7 months, comes out in around 8 months, rather than 12.

Change gets smeared across the year, rather than being dumped on us twice a year.

I'd expect most releases to be reasonably quiet ones, with the occasional larger release.

I'll add, this also prevents ccp from doing this:

"Ok guys, our next expantion, corruption, we are doing a huge pos revamp and redesign, its going to be amazing and comes out in 9 months... we will havethese 5 fatures so it will be great!"

*4 months later*

"Sorry guys, features 5 and 4 are cut, we will address these later they were gonna take too long"

*3 months later*

"Crap guys, feature 3 is too buggy, we are removing that, sorry"

*1 month later*

"Ok feature 1 is coming... the rest? oh we could not do them in that time, so we will address it later."

*corruption launches*

"Alright guys the next expansion will be bright star! it comes out in 9 months and will have based around a.. whats that? Oh the rest of the pos revamp will be addressed later, but we are moving on to new shiney now."

What we now have is that if say the pos revamp takes 1 year, they don't need to try and crap it as fast as they can into an expansion out in 9 months, and thus cutting huge chunks they can't finish. If the pos revmp takes a year, they get the year, then the first available slot they put it in. This, so far, is showing its a much better system, but we will know tomorrow if holding the industry stuff off from kronos was a good idea or not.

This sums up eve. wormholes, WIS, epic arcs, ghost sites, cosmos, POS/SOV, PVE

bear in mind, the short time between releases doesn't mean the development period for any particular feature'll be as short

No, it just means we'll get told about changes too late for any feedback to be implemented. Or, for that matter, we won't even be told at all. See: Material Efficiency changes.

EvE Online: The Fall of CONCORD
EvE Online: The Jita Super Nova

My guess is, they have something in the pipe. Seems a bit odd that the expansions before this one were not huge of stuff, with all the devs they have. My guess is stuff is in the works and we will get info as it gets closer to being done. I expect the next release to have a ton of little things and not much of an oooh or awwww. i think it will be the one after hyp, or we will get info then it will pushed back for better testing. If the industry changes tomorrow turn out to be a success, then i think this is a good stat, announce whats coming, do a small release and 6 weeks of testing for the big stuff.

Hopefully they'll update the Dominix.

If not, I hope they let me paint one bright pink so I can fly it into the low-sec system with the most kills.

If you're expecting a patch of the same magnitude as Crius you're going to be severely (and I mean really severely) disappointed. At best I predict a corp and alliance roles and permissions overhaul, but I won't hold my breath. Next patch is probably just going to be minor fixes, rebalances and a few new deployables.

I did read something about them wanting to do the sov overhaul before the end of the year though, which I highly doubt is ever going to happen. That would require them to do roles, permissions, POS's and Sov in a 4 month period. Not gonna happen.
