Suspect saving ship while being attacked in the middle of space.

Please change it so when a pilot at is suspect and is being attacked, he/she can't save the ship by putting it into an orca.

Orca is not suspect. he/she switched to a shuttle, and pod warps away and is worth nothing comparied to the ship he stole with.

Didn't they make it so you can't switch ships when you're targeted? Or do I confuse something there?

I encountered this a few times. Some clever miners switched their Hulk to a Skiff, some less clever just stored the Hulk and got podded anyway.

I think this is a perfectly valid tactic for miners who actually pay attention to the game and care about their safety.You can simply bump the Orca away if you think that may happen, the clever miner will then probably warp his fragile ships off.

It seams some people don't want to use their brain in the game and come up with some counter for this valid game mechanic. They rather cry on the forums about it and demand that CCP solves the problem for them.

Related story:
One time there was this Hulk pilot who stored his ship in the Orca to protect it from the gankers who just landed on grid. Unfortunately for him we came for the Orca...

You can't scoop a targeted ship I think it is, but the eject breaks the lock on both pod & ship, so you have to retarget both, meaning the orca who got a 3, 2, 1 countdown beats anything but an insti locking ship to scooping.

Of course...... The presence of an orca along side the ship about to grab your loot 'might' be a clue about what is about to happen.
