I've never had someone try this on me until now:

1) Post that they will meet the buyout of a character I have for sale.
2) State that a condition of the sale is for me to give them all my ships.
3) Send multiple emails saying that they won't send the ISK for the sale until they receive ALL of my ships.
4) Get made when I tell them that it's against the rules.
5) Accuse me of trying to scam them.

It's all quite comical if you think about it.

Report it and move on. Character scamming (if in fact it actually occurred) is against the rules, posting about it here accomplishes nothing and is probably against the forum rules in and of itself.

Nope it is not.

Any scam related to Characters sales is petitionable. Even if the character was not really on sale.

You should not be posting this here you should be creating a petition.

I concur. Char sales is one of the few eve transactions that even brushing up to it (in the course of a scam) will get a petition and a short forced vacation.

Edit out the OP until after petition comes back. Then you can maybe share the results.

Petition it, CCP takes that stuff very seriously. Good on you for knowing the rules and sticking to them. I would also like to see stars in all your future posts, nice touch.

Although petitioning the event is the right course of action, discussion of the result is not. I'll leave this here Blink
