I've just come back after maybe a year away and I'm trying to put the corporation together again.

Veerhouven has been mining in Hi Sec Domain (Amarr space) for years. We have found some nice places to mine. One of my alts flies an Obelisk, so getting ore to market, or moving new people to Domain are no problem.

I live in the US CST TZ (GMT - 6), but I stay on line a lot, and I really enjoy mining ops.

Veerhouven also received an invitation to join an alliance that is active in wormholes, Low and Null, so, if you feel like taking a walk on the wild side, I'm sure that can be arranged.

The corporation is pretty well off, so corp members are relatively well paid. The corporation is also 'new player' friendly. If you want to learn the ins and outs of mining, manufacturing, things like that. You could do worse.

If you are interested, please join the 'Veerhouven Public' chat channel. I'll try to answer any questions you have, whether you are considering joining or not.

Learned Vagrant, CEO, Veerhouven Ventures.

I forgot to mention that VEERV is really small now. I've decided I'd like to concentrate on new miners/players. Hopefully people who haven't learned the same old bad tricks and techniques.

We have our own freighter, so no big corp operation to move ore. I didn't activate my miner/refiner's account yet, so we will probably be selling ore instead of minerals for a while. Oddly enough, sometimes you make more ISK that way anyway.

VEERV has received a surprising number of applications, but would like to get more. So far they can have a lot of fun in one system, but it's time to move on to systems with more and bigger belts.

VEERV also added a Ventrilo server last night.

New miners are welcome.

During the last week we have recruited 9 good miners. Unfortunately, we've also had applications from a liar, a thief, and 2 x awoxers. So recruiting has been changed a little.

If you apply, I give your name to the other members of the corp to research. If anyone downchecks you, we will not invite you to the corp. They have two days to make their determination.

We also require a Full API key in order to consider applications. After the API key has been researched, we don't need it any more and it will be deleted.

Edit: It is sad that all this security stuff is not necessary, but you need to keep in mind that many of the people who play this game are stone cold sociopaths. The rest of us need to make allowances for that.

We have also joined an alliance, which I trust because I founded it and run it.

We've also decided on our first project, a POS in Low Sec that we hope to have operational by the end of year, if we get enough people who would be interested in making use of it.

Well, we have 14 members now. That changes things a little. We've been running daily mining ops for more than a week, and we have brought in quite a bit of ore.

The ore split spreadsheet is finally finished, bur it's a little delicate. I may turn it into a Visual Basic application, and see if that helps.

Mining is turning into a problem in our favorite systems over the last few days. First there was an Incursion in our home system, so we moved to a different system to mine. Today there was another Incursion that covers that system as well. ;(

So tomorrow we're going to go out and do some small anti-incursion ops, then run a few level 3 and 4s.

As we get more people, we can be more careful with the applications we consider. We also have a security chief now. We're hoping to make the corp a really safe place for the members. Things are going well but we don't need any problems.

Fly safe.

Lots of activity lately, Several new applicants, and we tried a day when we ran Incursions and missions instead of mining.

The POS project is shaping up. The system has good ore up to Jaspet. I need to put some people in there to keep the gankers away from our resident miner.

Mining ops are running over a million m3 now.

Life is good. :)

The situation has changed. I accepted three applicants who could not meet our most basic standards.

So, the rules have changed.

If you can't prove that you are over 25, and not from the US, don't bother applying. Waste of time for both of us.

Corp scrutiny will now be extended to three days. You will NOT receive an invitation in less than 3 days.

If you do not include your Full API in your application, you will be auto-rejected.

You will have no titles or roles assigned for at least 90 days, which makes it a lot easier to get rid of people,

If you don't know what TINSTAAFL means , Don't apply.

Good luck, happy hunting and always . . .. fly safe.

Oddly enough, applications didn't drop. Just the number of people who have been reading the new requirements.

I was forced to send two people the "Don't Apply Again' message today. They either didn't read, or maybe understand the requirements. That's not going to change. If you don't know what you are doing, or can't read, we don't need you.

This was our 4th day of mining more than 300 mil ISK worth. Not a lot for a lot of people, but is it so bad for new people? Some still flying Ventures?

Any way we still need new people, but they MUST be able to understand the application requirements, and follow instructions.

We finally got the Comptroller we have been looking for, for two years. His experience means he doesn't live in the same box we do. He has already solved a problem we have had for at least 4 years. Maybe, in time, and if he is willing, I will let him consult, but his services are not anywhere near free, even now, when he's 2 weeks old.

So still looking for mature players, new or not, and not from the US.

War decced again? Well they aren't getting a cherry. We have been war decced somewhere between 22 and 27 times. Out if all that, I think we have lost 3 ships and one pod.

The thing is, if you have a tested plan for war deccs, they cost you nothing. Income will drop for a few days while people move to the bolt holes, but we actually make more ISK their than at our main office.

Looking for a corp with a plan? A corp that's growing in spite of . . . A corp with a future?

Well, don't apply now. We don't accept applications during a war. It should be over in a week.

Remember, if you are a US citizen, do not apply.

Ventrilo interviews are also mandatory now, in a week, when we start accepting apps again.

To all the war deccers out there? Find a life because you are never going to have one with you current outlook.

Let me see if I can make this clearer.

IF YOU ARE FROM THE US, DO NOT APPLY.

We don't want you, you probably won't pass the interview, and if you get caught you will have a very short career in the corp.

We're doing fine, Thank you.

Busted another awoxer today.

Ran off two NO incursions.

Go figure.

Live long and fly safe.

Oh. I forgot about the war dec. Very forgettable. Griefers involved in extortion. No intention to carry out their threats. They seem to think they can say "Boo." and ours bowels will move. You can find their name if you know where to look.

Ships lost on our side? 0

Economic effect? We made more than we usually do. 2-3 billion for the week.

This is getting ridiculous.

If you are from the US and feel self-entitled. DO NOT APPLY!!!!!!!

We've been doing this for 5 years and we neither need nor want your help. Go somewhere else.

This also is not a democracy. We do what the alliance founder tells the CEO we should do. If you can't deal with that, DO NOT APPLY!!!!!!!

We are not looking for more Albatrosses to hang around our necks.

We are looking for miners.

I am the alliance founder. I support LV 100%. I suppose that is because I know exactly what it is like to try to work with an ignorant, undisciplined rabble.

If you want to learn how to mine this might be the place for you.

If you want to teach us how you think mining should be done, this is not the right place for you.

We've been doing this for 5 years. And doing well at it.

Unfortunately, applications haven't slowed down, but they are responding to our in-game ad, and not this.

The Security Chief's computer is down. He lives in a small village on Gibraltar. It appears that computer repair is not a common occupation there.

I've proven to be terrible at security, so no applications will be accepted until he is back on line. You can apply, but only he can accept you. Sorry.

BTW, 70% of the people accepted last less than a week. Basic morality, intelligence and maturity are requirements.
