Well I have "invested" about a 1/3 of my 3 billion ISK net worth in some meta 4 weapon mods. I stand to make roughly a 140 mil if it all plays out. Bought out all the competition that were lower, and trying to flip them. Funny things is prices instead of taking a nose dive , as I told by someone, on the sell order side went up almost immeadiatly. SO if this work it will be successful endeavor in trading.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

Probably works. This kind of trading tends to work okay on goods that are supply-limited (nobody can build Meta4 mods, they have to be looted - and most looted mods are sold "at whatever the market is at") and as long as the volume of the module in question is reasonable and you have some spare isk to keep the price up if a competitor bent on driving down the price appears....

Do the same on some buildable Tech 1 good and you'll find out that you will go insolvent before the resident Tech 1 manufacturer's factory capacity to churn out more and undercut you runs out... Big smile

The only potential kink is that many Meta4 mods have most of their demand from inventors who want to pay a bit (=module price) for extra invention chance on related Tech II mod. If you get greedy and drive the price up too much, all those buyers vanish from the market and you may find the demand diving hard. So don't get greedy per-module-type...

It won't *probably* work, it will work. This is all I do. Look for stuff that has decent volumes per day, if there's a decent split between buy and sell go for it. Buy lower than you sell, it's not rocket science.

Just remember don't dump your load into one item. Try to get a good list of items going as they won't always be profitable on the day, but may be again next week.

I still look at Barrage M, because a few months ago I made billions on it when it was selling for 500+ a pop. Now there's no money in it, but tomorrow there might be again.

Anyway congrats on your first successful venture into making money by doing nothing.
(waits for the self important wannabe stockbroker cocksuckers to agrue with me about 'nothing')
