There's a reason CCP don't remove high sec activities. Turns out they actually like having some customers.

Because people are cowards.

If incursions weren't protected by CONCORD,
all the cowards wouldn't run them.

I had started writing a big ::effort:: post in response to Marlona and baltec1, but then thought better of it. This pretty much sums it up. The problem is that you can't actually force people to log in and play eve. "Adapt or die" turns into "Adapt or don't log in".

Very true, but just a thought experiment, rather than lead Hisec players like lambs to the slaughter, which would no doubt please someRoll

Why not make it fun for hisec players to actually do some PVP? By fun I do not mean lose the last months work in two seconds to some "self professed content generator"

But I suppose biomassing most of your customers, and leaving the few elite players who are the only ones to deserve to be in eve. What? to,grr at each other is a plan too.Blink

Anyway off for tonight, I have to go to hospital in the morning as I have stomach pains, and need to have a probe inserted in my "content Generator"

Just fix wardecs. The incursion community is one of the most grievous users of dec dodging. That goes away, and you can at least dec them, even if they do have a gazillion logi backing them up.

But hey, lol, people want neutral logi fixed too, don't they?

How do you fix wardecs then?

People in the suburbs may not live like people in the woods, but that wouldn't be any excuse to be less prepared if things go sideways. In EVE, everyone has access to the same skillset, the same ship n gun store, the same wiki and Internet for looking up information. Being a lamb to a slaughter is a personal choice.

That would probably be lazy me if I were a gazelle.

I guess I'd have to become a spai for the lions to survive.

All we would need is a way for every ship to travel without having to rely on gates, the ability to get into a system without any fatal funnels, and there is no slaughter chute and hence no slaughter.

But WTFPWN guns on stations to shoot anything aggressing ships in the undock and solve "that other problem" too.

Give ships transponders to broadcast ID and intent or let players shut them off entirely (this means no local).

Fix SOV in 2 ways:
1. Make resources FINITE meaning you mine your systems to produce cap ships galore, you make those barren systems. Highsec too.
2. SOV must be maintained manually meaning, you must actually be in the system exerting your manliness over the rats or you lose it.

Do those things and there won't be a need for a highsec except as maybe a trade hub and Mittani's suggested "noob zone".

The rest of the game would prosper. "Leet" PVPers will have to hunt for their food. Everybody else gets to make the lives of the hunters difficult, and no more blue donut NAPed up sitting on piles of moon ISK.

The rewards are simply too high for a highsec activity and it would have been a great help to make low sec a little more viable.

Incursions in both low sec and null sec can have PvP. Eve has room for both protected sites and non-protected sites, giving it the ability to cater to different play styles.

Or: Adapt by playing a different game.
