Now that we know there might be implants in that biomass can we have a item that will salvage the biomass of implant components and create an implant from a implant BPO ?

1) Frozen corpses (previously referred to as Biomass) are not wrecks. They're lootable trophies to show that you omelette'd some poor bastard or at the very least, like collecting what others leave behind.
2) Implants; totally destroyed when removed from the brain - no exceptions.
3) Implants are not player-built, they're world-seeded. To suggest that we could get some sort of rig component analogue from mining frozen corpses would require new BPOs, for some/all of the different types of T1 implants. This is superfluous given the abundance of implants. Just do some missions and ask your favourite agent for some!

Frankly, it would make a little more sense to mine corpses for something that could be optionally combined with booster production to yield boosters with less chance of side-effects. Taking bits from someone else's immune system and combining it with drugs to make better drugs that are safer for consumption could be interesting. It also gets away from the idea that I should mine their whole corpse just to get something that was in their head.

The only downside to this I can think of is everyone with huge collections of corpses could get an early leg up on that market - if they want to let go of their trophies, that is. Not a very serious idea, but something for the OP to consider.

The best part of this is that corpses are items in game. When EVE first started there where no wrecks and there where no shuttle production. Does that mean we should never do it?

Just because implants are in LP stores is that the only way to get an implant?

There was discussion of corpse mining a while back, but yeah, salvaging implants from people's heads and recycling them wouldn't be nearly as cool as synthesizing their biomass to make highly illegal new items like new types of boosters, or bio-neural interfaces for the control systems of new ships. You'd probably have to add values to new corpses to determine what they could be used for, and leave existing corpses alone so that current corpse collectors didn't have a head start.

I dont have any corpses but who cares on head starts the database would have to have the pertinent fields populated and since that would make it easy to fill those fields only after you are biomass from that point on.
