Strange Transactions

Hiya i'm just trying to clear something up.

I have a single stack of modules for sale in a trade hub. They are selling very well, but..

When I checked my transactions for sales this morning I noticed that the items had sold at 3 different prices to 3 different buyers.

Can someone please explain what would cause this? I really can't see anyone placing a buy order higher than my sell price.

Oh yeah, they sold higher than my set price. Is it some weird standings issue at all?

Cheers.

No matter what price they buy for, the cheapest item sells first. They could have selected the wrong order because their market columns aren't sorted by ascending price, or maybe they didn't want to click a bunch so either bought from a more expensive order with a higher quantity or placed a buy with a a high enough price to do a similar thing.

Cheers but mine is one single stack of items, not several stacks of the same item so they are all up at the same price.

it dont matter the price if you have a item for sale and your price is say the highest But the player buys say the 3rd from best price the your order will sell first.

Lowest price always sells first.

but you get the price they selected. :) its a win win.

so say you have 10 items for sale but the buyer needs 20
they select a sell order with 20 or above but your order sells and any below up to the amount they would like to buy.

Many people seem to be under the impression that they can buy and sell to and from specific orders.

This isn't the case. You always sell to the highest buy order, and buy from the highest sell order.

However, this is all handled through the broker. Who takes your money, and give you what you asked for, at the price you state (as long as it's equal to or higher than the price of the lowest sell. yes, I'm now just talking about sell orders.)

So, if I'm selling at 100 isk, and someone attempts to buy at 200, I'll get that 200.

No, it's not going to change any time soon Smile It's handy for those times you want to buy 200,000 units of tritanium, but no-one has more than 10,000 in an order. You can set up an instant duration buy, at a price that's high enough to get 200,000 units. You'll pay more than you strictly need to, but it can stop you going crazy.

(And just to confuse matters, there can be a delay between an order ceasing to show up on the order list, and it no longer fulfilling orders. As evidenced by 'I keep buying 1 unit from this order, but the number doesn't go down' threads)

And on the same station iirc...
When I purchase stuff out of laziness I'll purchase the cheapest one on the station I'm currently docked on even if it's more expensive.
