Why are incursions concord protect sites? it is a sansha invasion shouldn't concord be absent or busy protecting stations etc. I feel if they turned all incursions gate areas into pvp hot beds there would be less shiny and more risk to the reward. Thoughts?

If you're hoping that pilots would continue to bring their 6B Vindis to run sites, I think you'll be disappointed.

Sounds good. They could also just move all incursions to low-sec.

Go to lowsec if you want to shoot incursion fleets without being Concorded.

However, that aside, the title of your thread is wrong. Incursions already have exactly the same opportunity for pvp as any other system and/or PvE activity. The only thing stopping you is your own lack of commitment. If you want to shoot them in highsec, then shoot them.

What a completely original idea! No one's ever asked about removing CONCORD from anything before....

1) Because people do lowsec incursions
2) Because CONCORD doesn't exist

Of course Concord exists. That's the whole point of this stupid thread.

Just fix wardecs. The incursion community is one of the most grievous users of dec dodging. That goes away, and you can at least dec them, even if they do have a gazillion logi backing them up.

But hey, lol, people want neutral logi fixed too, don't they?

From what I've read, there's plenty of PVP in Incursion sites. Mostly by people not afraid to lose their ships for the satisfaction of obliterating billions of ISK in a matter of seconds.

In the live event incursions where were Sansha sympathizers and it was a letdown to see them get boned on the official content Incursion. It would be great to say get a Sansha mission in the incursion systems.

It would have been better to get "PVP" missions too.

For a long time I have stated that one of the biggest missed opportunities to PVP was the incursion content. Rather than having simply PVe content that forced fleet involvement and player interaction (hence the thousands of mission fit wrecks littering the field that day Incursion was released) they could have had sites with PVP elements too, or "opposing mission" elements such like we have seen for factional warfare, the "taking over of a complex" or something along that line.

It would have certainly worked well with the direction of blurring the line between highsec and low/null PVP and aggression-wise (though that vision was not in place at that time).

Dead space zones in incursion systems where "anything goes" would certainly bring the nullsec to highsec incursion systems and help players get their experience too - even with cheap fits.

But instead it's just bored campers and ISK faucets. Oh well.

Well incursions do provide an excuse to actual fly bling :D There is nowhere else in EVE where it is sensible. They also give potential future PvPers some valuable experience at fleet ops.

Seems to me though that making incursions more PvP is just going to turn them into a variant of faction war.

Aside from which there ARE incursions in 0.0 its just no one can be bothered running them. If they get run at all its to clear the system becasue the incursion penalties interfere with renter/bluebear ops.

The entire incursion thing makes no sense to me. But then again having concord and faction navies ignoring all these Angel and Serpentis prats blobbing innocent Marauders in high sec, and then evading concord make little sense either.

Consistency is more important than most people think.

There aren't many places where blingy ships can be used in New Eden. Maybe wormhole and 10/10 DED escalations but I've never done those.

Either way, they are still gankable.

This. I would get into faction warfare if I could play for the bad guys and help take over empire space.

Also the chance at a Revenant BPC drop, though uncommon in either case (drop or incursion being done) since they look kind of like a large poop.
