Goonswarm are fundamentally homophobic and racist

The primary purpose of this post is to expose GSF for their homophobic and racist ways. There is a backstory here regarding my motivations for this post, but it is largely irrelevant to the facts at hand.

This will not be rumor mongering; I will present actual evidence.
This will not be troll baiting; posting your disagreements with an alliance in C&P is allowed

Goonswarm are the most powerful alliance in the game. They are the leaders of the top coalition. Do we, as players, really want homophobes and racists leading this great game of ours? There are thousands of you who are members of this coalition. Do you find the following acceptable?

It is unfortunate that CCP are unable to do anything about this as it's not on a CCP webpage. You, the members of the CFC can. Have some self-respect and either demand that your leaders fix the wiki up or simply cease supporting them. Is having virtual space friends to help defend virtual space territory worth the price of supporting such non-sense? You are standing by each and every one of those comments when you call yourself a proud CFC member - let alone GSF member - instead of speaking out against it. Let's not kid ourselves, this isn't specific to the wiki either. Anyone who's had the chance to be in a GSF fleet knows that homophobia and racism are ingrained deep in their culture.

Many of you will shrug this off; that is common and expected. Most people do not want to admit things that are inconvenient. I think it's time to stop deluding yourselves and to recognize the homophobia and racism in GSF for what it is: Childish, immature and unacceptable.

If you, CFC member, don't think it bothers you or don't think that those comments are unacceptable, go tell all your closest friends/family that you are part of this clan and link them to the wiki. Go ahead, link your mother to that. Your son. Your boss. Your wife. You won't though, because you are too ashamed to ever show them that. You would never want to be associated with that.

Recognize it. Don't delude because it's convenient.

Are you sure those terms are being used in a homophobic way? the first one for example could mean "Goons, Friends of Goons, and bundles of sticks".

2. "You guys knock some ball of seasoned, chopped liver over and start punching them in the head"

+1 agreed OP, GSF members are super-nerds which means they have no backbone, thats why they do nothing about this crap. I think most would agree that it needs to go they are just too puss to do anything about it

There's a problem on the internet these days, of taking every use of ostensibly bigoted language and claiming it's racism or homophobia (or sexism, for that matter).

In point of fact, almost none of this "casual racism/sexism/homophobia" is anything of the sort. It's simply people throwing around these terms because they can get away with it on the internet, and as a form of rebellion against political correctness.

While somewhat immature, pointing out someone using bigoted language these days is almost never a sign of actual bigotry. It's rather a sign that they're trolling everyone else.

You are saying people are smart enough to use those words to rebel against society, but they are too dumb to realize that using those words in a derogative manner, even when in a different context, is still racist, homophobe or sexist?

By the way, I don't really like the term 'homophobia'. It doesn't really describe the issue at hand. Maybe we can just call those homophobes (and sexists and racists) assholes, like in the good old days, where it wasn't necessary to define what kind of ******* someone was.

Ok, maybe by suggesting this, I am now guilty of assholephobia...

It doesn't take a great deal of intelligence to use naughty language to rebel against society, nor is the use of offensive or bigoted language to do so necessarily reflective of actual bigotry.

Do you realize Goonswarm is a bunch of people who come from a haven from internet trolls and dicks? Which means naturally they come to EVE and continue being so.

I have reasons to not like them. Main one being that they turnwd Nullsec into the biggest circle jerk in the history of EVE, but complaining on the forums because you got scammed by them because you didn't do your research is just a dumb reason to not like them. They are bunch of trolls who like to get people's panties in a knot. It is what they do besides enjoying the epic circle jerk that is now Nullsec.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

Are Goonswarm members jerks? Maybe, i've never dealt with them.

Just because an entity uses a homosexual reference to define something as having a negative connotation it doesn't mean they are homophobic it just means that they have a very limited vocabulary and have wrongly used a noun.

Goonswarm and the greater CFC are one of the most caring and accepting groups I have ever been a proud member of. I personally know and have helped and counselled other members of our coalition who are dealing with their sexuality and it's offensive for you to make these completely untrue allegations.

While I don't condone the use of Gay, ******, ***, Poofter, Lezbo or Carpet Muncher as a negative connotation you are trying to link two very separate things. It is unfortunate that most of us grew up learning these things and carrying them onto adulthood.

So how about you try being an adult, stop being a **** and stop lighting fires because you got shat on for being a tool.

There is a difference between a fireable offense and illegal.

Illegality implies that you'd go to jail for saying something racist. You can have those opinions and even say them openly but it tends to be an "at your own risk" thing especially in the workplace.

I am speaking as an 'murican here.

I guess maybe in some of those uber-socialist european countries it's illegal, like Germany and their post-war reaction to National Socialism.
