What is wrong with Eve's political metagame

Everywhere I look I see more and more corporations and alliances claim to not get involved in Eve politics.

What's up with that?

They don't know how to get involved, don't have the motivation and/or just play the game as a game and not something serious.

There's nothing wrong with it at all, but in the metagame most of us are just bit players, not powerhouses.

Eve politics consists of Goons because they want to own the universe , ex BoB bitter vets because they lost the universe, Xenuria because he thinks he's relevant, Gelvon Goblin because he's desperate to somehow get on a Goons Titan kill and holysheet in his more lucid moments. Everyone else is meh whatever.

Eve grows, evolves, just as real life, not only tactics but also metagaming, allainces grow as blocks do. As a on goon n3 csm member, i can tell you for sure how involved i am, and i see my allaince and providence coalition grow and involve,
From a weird angle, look at ccp charity drives and the number of plex players donated, and then say they are not involved,

The only way to get not involved, is to get ignored. Getting involved starts quite early: Set someone on Blue for Corp or got a war -> involved.

What they probably mean is that they are not participating in forming the political landscape in any relevant way and have no interest in or expectation of successfully doing so.

The problem is that SOV is so broken that the Blue Donut can be toppled by one single AFK cloaker. But since PLEX Prices are so high because Grr Goons freighters keep getting ganked by CODE on their way to Null Industrial hubs (that Crius is going to ruin completely) so what we need to do is stand up for ourselves and show them that highsec carebears can fight for their rights too. WHO'S WITH ME?!

Oh and Eve is dying.

I just undocked for the first time and someone challenged me to a duel. Wat do?

Politics is a game in and of itself. some people just prefer to spaceship government to spaceship explosions is all.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.
