Duality is open for ATXII teams

Uhh, apparently the mirror is from SISI, not Tranquility.

This means that TEST is disbanded on Duality.

Any chance of getting un-disbanded? Or were the access lists pulled from Tranquility?

Far as I know, there has not been a patch on TQ, so your Duality installation should be fine.

(Edit: There is a patch today. But if your Duality shortcut is done properly to the evefile.exe in your Duality folder, it would not ask you to update, is my understanding)

Check your shortcut. Bet you have it pointing to your SISI folder or you have /server:Singularity in the target instead of /server:Duality

Also make sure you didn't copy your SISI folder when you created your Duality folder - needs to be a copy of TQ folder.

(Edit: Far as I know, there is no way to download older versions of Eve client anymore. If it's not a shortcut issue, hopefully one of your team members can zip up a copy of their duality folder and upload it somewhere for you to download it).

'Some Issues with TIDI'?

Started with 76% - 56% ... 26% by that last match.

We are grateful Fozzie-san. But with 62 online, 26% TIDI doesnt make for a conducive practice environment.

For some reason,I can't log onto my alt whose in the Executor corp of The Tuskers Co. Alliance (alt is Amoux Ganthier). Might be the fact that his account's password has changed since the mirror? I tried both old and new passwords and no dice.

Also, TiDi on Duality is presenting a problem - we were experiencing 26% TiDi with only 62 guys logged on, which is basically 6 teams logged on, or 3 concurrent practices. Can't imagine what it'll be like on the weekends where there could easily be 10 teams logged on.

Appreciate that you guys do this in your spare time so don't want to come across as too negative as we are really grateful for the help you guys have given, but if Duality has this many issues, I for one would prefer it if SiSi was in a state we could run practices in it instead.

Made the mistake of patching my TQ client today before copying it over to make a Duality folder. Following the instructions to the letter gives me a launcher for duality with no ability to log in or start client.

Is it safe to assume today's patch was what Fozzie was warning about?

Is there an alternative for those who don't happen to keep 20 GB ftp sites up on their own dime?

Edit: I am bad at reading directions.

Once you have made that copy this is how you make it "Duality ready"...

Create a shortcut to your "Duality client" exefile.exe, which resides in the “bin” folder of your copy Eve install. After making the shortcut, right click on it and go to “Properties”. From there, add “ /server:Duality”, without the quotes, to the “Target”. If you open it up and the launcher appears, you did the shortcut to “eve.exe” and you’re bad at following directions. ;)

Please reply in this thread with any issues, or contact me and I'll do my best to address them.


A couple additional notes:

We will only be updating Duality very rarely. Although Duality is running the same client version as TQ right now, that will change very soon (July 22nd if not sooner). This means that you need to be careful NOT to update your Duality copy of EVE unless we instruct you to. We advise teams to make a copy of the current Duality client folder to distribute to their members who mess this up.

To repeat: If you run eve.exe or the launcher from your Duality folder after next week, it will update to a newer version than Duality supports your and your Duality client will no longer work. So don't do that.

Unfortunately we will not be able to intentionally place teams near their practice partners this year (sorry about getting your hopes up in the evemails). The locations of each team's passworded system are semi-randomly generated from the same set of systems used last year.

Some of the additional non-alliance member characters that you requested will not be able to connect quite yet. We're working on getting that solved for you.

Market seeding isn't working correctly yet, we're working on that.



So what exactly did you do exept making duality barley work?
