So I spend a significant portion of my time checking out different ships on the market with the preview window, looking for things to train for or trade, and I must say there are quite a few ships that really stand out as either good-looking or cringe-worthy. But these things are more about personal opinion and taste so I'm curious as to which ship or ships you find to be the best and worst of the bunch in the looks department. Here's my personal choices:

The Best: Nemesis
Runner-Up: Widow

The Worst: Imicus
Runner-Up: Nightmare

What do you think are the best and worst looking ships?

Nightmare? Almost the worst?

Worst? BANTAM.
Falcon not far behind (not you, CCP Falcon! The other Falcon... you know what I mean Blink). Can't tell which side is the front once cloaked, not mentionning the awful gradient gold-to-dark that CCP (thank god) dropped right before V3ing the Rhea.
As a third position, I'd say tie between golem, imicus, and burst... And all the mordu's ships (sorry!)

Logi frigates are not lucky there, but eh its not a fatality! Look at the navitas for instance. Its an old but nice design.

Best? Widow.
Manticore not far behind. Both ships suceed in a way that they have a design that matches their job.
Third place? The Onyx. Or... hmm.. Though choice! I do like the Crow, but I also have a weakness for the Naga <3 Lets call it a tie.

Sorry, I'm a Caldari pilot :p

Best: Dramiel

Worst: Amarr Carriers...It's like they just stopped halfway through construction and said "That should be fine, I want a sandwich." and forgot to finish.

People: "You shouldn't burn bridges." Me: "I don't, I bomb them from orbit."

What can I say, sometimes incredibly good looks comes at the cost of good judgement.

And the Imicus is pretty terrible, my very first character in eve went the trading route because I looked at the picture in the market window and went "Oh hell no". When the Iteron V is the better-looking choice you know it's ugly.

Best: Damnation, Navy Geddon, Vengeance.

Worst: Rupture. Most of the Caldari redesigns. They are so boringly unobtrusive now. The SoE colours. Aeon.

Remove standings and insurance.

widow wins hands down

blackbird is probably the ugliest now they fixed the moa

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

Nerf web strength, Make the blaster Eagle worth using

Gotta agree, though I also cringe at the Imicus.

Best?
I really like the new Moa, and the Nightmare as well.

Best has to the Manticore for me.
Worst would be Harbinger .

Best - All symmetrical ships

Worst - all asymmetrical ships

Seirously, asymmetry is a scourge that has plagued the aesthetic of EVE for too long. Pretty is not a bad word, and the sooner all the ship models can become symmetrical and pretty the better.

edit - I still don't get the new Moa love though. Sure, it is indeed quite pretty now that it is symmetrical, but I think the new Condor model blows it out of the water.

Going by the variety of answers, I'm guessing CCP are getting into a nice sweet spot where there's ships for everyone to love and hate.

Best: CONCORD Battleship. Been waiting over 10 years to fly one. Still waiting.
Worst: Imicus. It's a slab halfway through falling over.

Ye of little taste. Not being able to appreciate asymmetry is like being unable to appreciate music that isn't 4/4. I actually feel a little sorry for you (and the people within CCP who seem to suffer the same affliction).

Best: Widow.
Runner Up: Phoenix.

Worst: Bantam. It looks like a dog asserting dominance on a hoover...

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Now lets be fair the IIteron based ships are way easier to code. If we want a budgert Iteron X for a patch someday just stick a Nereus on one end an Epithal on the back and cut and paste an Itty V in the middle.

Best: Dramiel, Rifter/Wolf/Jag, Garmur, Venture

Worst: Pick a Gallente ship at random. Also the Amarr supercarrier that looks like half a breadbox

Best? Tricky. So many candidates. I do have a sweetspot for the Dramiel, though. And the Rifter-line, particularly with the Jag's paintjob, is one of the designs most successfull at conveying the ships purpose, in my opinion.

Worst? As partial as I am to Minmatar ships, I'm going with the Burst. Both the Bantam and the Imicus look like some sort of spaceship, after all.

Best (New): Manticore. Not only is it a good redesign, but of all the divergent T2 designs, it stays faithful to its base hull. You can still see a Kestrel somewhere underneath it.

Runner-Up: Stratios. This is one fine ship. The only thing that I'm deducting points for is the rotating sensor array and the ubiquitous spotlights that are somehow visible because I guess the vacuum of space has the same atmosphere as a dusty room.

Best (Old): Kestrel. Before the addition of visible missile turrets, the Kestrel's hull was the one that most resembled its function. Each of those fingers in the middle were obviously the launchers. It's asymmetric, but not overwhelmingly so, and the ship's design is solid.

Runner-Up: Rifter. Its front-loaded design gives it a powerful look, and it sort of resembles a pod racer, which is fitting for the fastest Empire in New Eden.

Worst (New): Crucifier/Sentinel. The old versions were mean looking, like they were going to fly up to you and stab you in the face with an ice pick. The new ones look like the body language for "Meh."

Runner-Up: The Scorpion/Widow. That's right, the Widow is one of the worst. Why? Because it was obviously designed as a practical joke. CCP gave the thing claws for crying out loud.

Worst (Old): Blackbird/Falcon. What the heck is happening on this hull? It's like someone took a bunch of rectangles and threw them in a blender.

Runner-Up: Navitas. There are some ships that are just trying way too hard to be different. Among these, the Navitas is king.
