As a member of the race with the supposedly lowest average height, I can assure you that none of our adults are less than 135cm tall. 145cm plus is in the leftmost outlier in our bell curve. Anyone shorter than that is at an adult age is either lying about the age or is a pygmy.

Race with the lowest average height? Huh, really?

I met a Matari gentleman a while ago, Sebiestor I think, who was around 215cm in height or about 7 feet I believe? Rather intimidating, especially when you consider I'm barely 150cm myself. I'd not have guessed that about your race sir. I take it the person I met must have been somewhat of an oddity, ah? No offence to him intended.

How many other Sebiestors have you met? Does it go up to a several tens of thousands? You cannot judge average height based on a sample size as small as one person.

Also, you go survey your own race using sample size of the aforementioned number and tell me if your height is 'average'.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Hey, I didn't mean any offence Mr Egivand.

I'm honestly not sure how many Sebiestor I've met. I've seen many people in my travels - short, tall, fat and thin - although I struggle often to tell race in a crowd with fashion trends these days. Was you who mentioned racial averages, ah.

I live with a Sebiestor woman in fact, a family pilot. She is taller than me sir but not by a great deal.

As for me? Well I am slightly smaller than my race's average as far as I know. But again I've not spent much time exclusively around my own people, beyond my siblings and of them I am the shortest of all. Equal in height to my sisters Shelby and Kellie who are not yet of age. Is somewhat unfortunate, but I have ways of making up for it.

No offense taken. I apologise. Whenever I see conclusions that do not look like it was drawn from a properly designed experiment/survey I tend to explode.

Again, I am sorry.

No need to be sorry, silly.

Maybe my literacy was not the best to say what I was thinking. I struggle sometimes with the general tongue, even despite translation software. I think I confuse it sometime.

Pre-Jovian mechanically spooled blast naselles with poor radiation containment and with a hull that barely keeps heavy leakage currents out of our rubber soles? It so happens that these old hulls make this razor thin margin business more bearable. My crew generally makes thirty percent more than in ships of comparable size and function. We bathe in radiation every time we slingshot past a blue sun. We're always inches away from debris shooting through armor plates and right through our lungs. There are viruses that have been known to travel half a planetary system with their genetic innards intact and ready to be emptied into a victim's cells. Hazards are a way of life, are they not?

But I digress.

Perhaps you are right, but I'm sure children would do.

This combo of aesthetical and business choices will perma-kill you one day, as you must surely expect, but probably in a way you expect the least.
