Black Screen on Launching EVE

I do the updates and launch onto my EVE Client. Then I'm only gifted with a black screen where I can click anything. I have no idea whats causing this, I reinstalled due to another issue so now my client opens in windowed mode. This has only started since the Kronos patch.

My computer starts heating up and gets extremely slow, I'm thinking it's due to it playing on high settings. EVE always worked until this patch.

Is this an issue anyone else is getting? It's impossible to even see the issue with a black screen.

I tried bypassing the launcher but still black screen.

Tried repairing EVE Client. Still no results What?

ADDITIONAL: My console log shows this while starting EVE
TQ EVE

04/06/2014 20:23:34.277 WindowServer[87]: Display 0x4272900 released by conn 0x1136b

Receiving these messages on my console when starting EVE. Doesn't seem different to my SiSi opening which works instead.
WORKING SISI

I have noticed, if I open TQ my launcher doesn't go away, when I click play and keeps saying 'Launching' and plays EVE and black screens the client. On SiSi, my launcher does go away upon clicking play and works perfectly well.

Strangely I have no idea why it's TQ doing this and not both. Thankfully a long skill is set on TQ.

Todays patch didnt fix it. It seems my launcher is broken from what I'm seeing.

http://i.imgur.com/K8aSc0e.png (The Launcher is the one with a strange icon) (Thats the result on the character select screen)

I'll try making the SiSi client connect to TQ instead. I still have my SiSi client on this computer.

EDIT: I changed my SiSi client to connect to TQ's IP instead. IT WORKED!!!!

What I'm guessing is the TQ Launcher is broken or something. But that's interesting

I'm getting the same issue.

Unfortunately i pretty much have about 10 to 15% of your technical acumen so i have a hard time understanding most of your detective work and the possible fix.

I'm having this same issue. It happened occasionally in the past but since the Kronos patch and the most recent update it is much, much worse.

Previous solution was to keep force quitting using option + command + esc and retrying and about every other time it would work. Now it works less and less - if at all.

I've tried going in and deleting the common.ini file so the launcher will initiate self repair mode - doesn't work.

I've also tried launching directly from the app.

Next thing I did was update my OSX to make sure it wasn't a problem with cider vs. osx but that doesn't seem to have an effect either b/c it doesn't make sense that it should when the min. requirements are what they are.

Would be nice to get this worked out.

I am also having this problem. I have tried bypassing the launcher and I still get the black screen yet I can select my character and get into the game but I can not see any thing. I was searching something in the market and my game screen froze, but i could still move my mouse in game. Then I did a force quit on the client and tried logging back in and this is what i got.

Whenever you have an issue where the game works one day, then stops working, do this:

Go to:

Users/username/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility/settings/

Delete the following files

core_char__.dat
core_public__.dat
core_public__.yaml
core_user__.dat

If that does not work, delete the entire folder: Users/username/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/

To find that Library folder, go to the finder, click on the "go" menu, then hold down the Option key.
