For a main, yes. I have been some variation of Gallowmere in every online game I've played since I first took it on in WC3, where I primarily used undead. From there, first main in WoW was an undead warlock with the same name.

For alts, I couldn't really care less, but with one Eve specific exception: there is no way in hell I am ever buying a character from the Bazaar with a name in the vein of "TwoChainz McSwag" or anything of equal Down's consistency. I don't care if it's somehow only a couple hundred SP behind Dr Caymus; you'd have to pay me to take that garbage and biomass it.

Yes I care about my characters names.
Sadly I found out too late that Naburi is a hardcore hentaii dominatrix whatever.
And my alts name is a mix of italian/russian meaning dickhead soup (found that out when russians started greeting me left and right all of the sudden)


Could be worse.... I guess.

and to expand;

I feel that in this single-shard, who you are is _everything_ : thus your name is pretty much all you have. That alone makes your name worth more than anything. This should (and would) apply to any pilot that really invest time in their game at least (I believe).

Sure, a scammer or pirate or otherwise "bad" pilot would want to easily change their name, not being able to do so (easily) is what I find very awesome about New Eden, if you **** up, you can be burned for the entire time of the game unless you re-roll. On the upside of it (thinking of my own accomplishment) there's amazing rewards to pilots that become known as well.

All names where taken and i was eatng cereals ... so i choose the name flakes.However after a biomass and restore the name was taken so now is flakeys .

I don't care too much about the a name itself , especially in eve where in the end you are accounted for your actions not name ....

Definitely care about my character name. Need to like my name to stick with a character. Otherwise I'd be constantly starting new characters and never get anywhere.

Yes, I care about my toon names. That said, I have mixed feelings on a naming convention I used for some of my toons.

Also, toon names that start with lowercase letters drive me nuts.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.
