EVE Alliance Tournament Discussion

This is the one stop shop for information regarding Duality as an ATXII practice server.

Duality is up and running and is available for the use of Alliance Tournament teams at their convenience.

Every team's assigned home system is equipped with the ability to set a password to control access, and with a set of beacons that accurately represent the layout of a real Alliance Tournament arena. Place your own Mobile Micro Jump Units at each of the provided beacons in the tournament arena (don't forget to place a MMJU in the middle of the arena as well) to practice with their correct positions.

As Duality is running somewhat limited hardware, some performance issues may be experienced at peak times. We will do our best to minimize this but we advise teams to train outside of peak times whenever possible to get the best performance.

As in previous years Tourney Captains should use the slash command "/setpassword" in chat to set the password for their dedicated practice system. When you set the password you will get confirmation of your system and that the password is set in a popup.

Tournament team pilots can then use the "Enter Starbase Forcefield Password" option in the right click menu on their ship to enter the password to allow them to get access to a password protected system.

***THIS NEXT PART IS IMPORTANT & DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS YEARS SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY***

Please assume that we WON'T be keeping Duality at parity with TQ.

What this means is you need to make a Duality client folder and avoid updating it to TQ at any point.

A couple additional notes:

Unfortunately we will not be able to intentionally place teams near their practice partners this year (sorry about getting your hopes up in the evemails). The locations of each team's passworded system are semi-randomly generated from the same set of systems used last year.

You do not need to keep your alliance together to use Duality, as the use of system passwords allows anyone with the correct password to enter your system. This means that if your alliance is somehow disbanded you don't need to worry about it.

When exactly is the Pandemic Reloaded tournament anyways?

It's going to always say that, because it's in VIP mode.

However every member of all the tournament alliances (as of last week) has special access so just ignore the message and try to connect anyways.

'The cluster is not currently accepting connections' is the message pop-up I get when the connection fails having clicked 'Connect'.

I dont want to take Fozzies anger on day 1, but the whole tournament might be rigged in favour of this guy. Such an advantage.

At least 3 RvB guys have managed to log in, and so far none have reported an issue, so we seem to be fine. Maybe something is up with the access list, keeping other alliances out?

Some of the additional non-alliance member characters that you requested will not be able to connect quite yet. We're working on getting that solved for you.

And the tournament is in little more then a month.

Can we get some extra SP
Somes of us had train or/and are still training specifics skill for the tournament !
