Today the launcher is not letting me login. No button for login or edit controls for username and password. These miss completely. Also trying to submit a ticket I noticed I cannot login into the CCP system on the internet at all. What is going on?

I'm experiencing the same issue. I've tried repairing the client and reinstalling EVE but no luck so far.

Having same issue as well. Glad to know I am not the only one but hope it gets fixed or find a work around in the mean time.

I was having problems even connecting to the server; the launcher would just white out or would give me a disconnected screen. Now though, I'm having hte same issues you guys are.

Use exefile.exe from EVE bin folder. it bypasses the launcher. worked for me.

Just tried that, now it's saying my installation may have been modified, damaged or corrupt files. Please run the repair... yada yada.

Edit: after running the repair, it now works.

This is why when this launcher was released we asked to not have it. There needs to be a way around it, especially sine this is the what? 4th or 5th time it has failed to work properly, just like the community said when it was implemented, was bad then its bad now. Looks like the Everquest launcher that has such a long history of not working. SoE made, makes, and will make bad games, we pay CCP so we dont have to deal with incompetent EQ or WoW staff, and for some reason you hire the same people to make a launcher. Time for some different staff, maybe even one that will listen and change bad designs that the community catches on to. But no a Blizz guy gives us a non functioning launcher, thumbs way the F down guys.. Not even a way to just launch the game anymore, so much fail.

Anyone figured out a way around the crap launcher yet?

I am still not sure why we even have it, it make multiple accounts longer to log in, and TQ has 30k plus people on it but all everyone else can do is stare and a worthless, glitchy launcher that has always had issues. This is what you get from not listening as usual, this launcher should have been thrown out the first 4 times it failed horribly. CCP needs some counseling about listening as usual. Then a quick lesson about theft of services due to bad design.

actually, the exefile.exe in the bin folder works for me
or did, before this downtime, which is extending unexpectedly...

Was having the exact same issue here however it appears to allow me to intermittently log in through the launcher.

Yeah my launchers are acting up too, looks like it is a problem with connection to the login server.

I once podded myself by blowing a huge fart.

leave it running for about ten minutes.
It was blank when i went for coffee, and running correctly when i came back.

I dont know whats up with it.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

This is me losing faith in CCP and their ability to communicate with paying subscribers when a problem occurs.

I can not log in to the game I pay for, once again. I understand things happen. I am saddened to see a lackluster response.

CCP will you grant players an additional day on their subscriptions for each day or partial day they can not log in?

If you do not care about us perhaps you will care if it costs you money.

it appears it's due to a patch they put out and the launcher being a complete n00b about recognizing there is one. i launched the exe from the bin and got "incompatible build", and asked to download the update. which then also failed. it appears the only option is to do what you suggest and just sit there until it finally realizes "hey, there's a patch DUMMY!" and downloads it.

back in my day we had games with no launchers that updated themselves correctly. *sighs wistfully*

just sent exactly this to support via petition. lets see what happens.

so it sounds like they patched over the server but didn't put the update up on the web properly for us to download and install. very good times. much funs. i usually get paid for doing tech support, not pay to be forced to do it.
