Republic Fleet EMP XL - MIA

As a new dread pilot I was looking forward to making things go pop under the fire of some of the biggest guns in the game, one thing that confuses me is the complete lack of the highest DPS projectile ammo, Republic fleet EMP XL.

As I write this the only units for sale are up in Jita for over 5 million ISK per unit, which is a price that I am not willing to pay. My question is, does anyone know why there is so little of this particular ammo available?

Don't get me wrong Arch Angel is not that bad. In comparison to RF I get 500 DPS lower with Arch Angel. Not such a big issue when a ship does over 12,000 DPS, I am just curious.

My best bet would be to see if you can find an industrialist who can supply you this ammo directly. Not only would it be alot cheaper for you, you can get even a discount on price this way as the industrialists knows he can sell his ammo rightaway without it taking up an sell order slot or even the need to transport it somewhere.

Care to elaborate, are there some changes on the horizon that will make this better, because I have been monitoring the market for a couple of weeks now and nothing has come up?

Any mission/industry dudes out there that would be interested in a customer?

Crius is going to totally revamp industry/research in a few weeks time. How that will effect XL ammo .... have no idea.



The place to ask is probably the Industry forums not GD.

The reason there is no faction XL ammo except pirate types available, is because it is one small thing which the pirate faction LP stores have going for them over the standard empire LP stores. Hell, even the normal ammo from the pirate stores is worse than the empire stuff for some strange reason. Even stranger is that people still buy it for 10x the price of the empire factions stuff, albeit in vastly lower quantities.

Don't expect this to change any time soon, not until a complete overhaul of the pirate factions.

The plain and simple answer is that xl ammo isn't being offered by normal faction lp stores. Only pirate LP stores have XL ammo offers. So normal faction XL ammo has become a novelty
