Duality Server & Passworded Systems for 2014?

We do appreciate the work that goes in, it just gets frustrating trying to organise things with no info.

There are MANY MANY issues with our terrible setups which we need Duality to iron out, we can only continue to work on it so much (including Gobbins having a rage fit) and we need Duality to get it done.

Maybe you should have kept some of your last years guys to stay relevant and keep access to the duality. CCP favoritism in work here, nothing new to see

Apologies for the delay on this. People should be able to get onto Duality now.

As in previous years Tourney Captains should use the slash command "/setpassword" in chat to set the password for their dedicated practice system. When you set the password you will get confirmation of your system and that the password is set in a popup.

Tournament team pilots can then use the "Enter Starbase Forcefield Password" option in the right click menu on their ship to enter the password to allow them to get access to a password protected system.

Please Note : We are going to be pushing some market updates this afternoon, so please bear with us on that.


***THIS NEXT PART IS IMPORTANT & DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS YEARS SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY***

Please assume that we WON'T be keeping Duality at parity with TQ.

What this means is you need to make a copy of your current TQ client install and keep it separate from your normal TQ client install which you will be updating.

Once you have made that copy this is how you make it "Duality ready"...

Create a shortcut to your "Duality client" exefile.exe, which resides in the “bin” folder of your copy Eve install. After making the shortcut, right click on it and go to “Properties”. From there, add “ /server:Duality”, without the quotes, to the “Target”. If you open it up and the launcher appears, you did the shortcut to “eve.exe” and you’re bad at following directions. ;)
