Does anyone use the in-game calculator?

I use it a lot.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

It's irreplaceable for several things:

- material lists for industry (with actual links to items);
- travel lists or lists of frequently visited systems

I also use it or have used it for:

- short mission and complex descriptions (while I was still learning them);
- character lists (with linked character names);
- storing funny quotes from chat channels;
- EVE math formulas;

To be honest, I didn't realize it was still in game. Haven't used it in years, since I was a noob.

I use the calculator occasionally, enough to justify it's existence (to me) anyway.

The ability to save calculations would be nice. Apart from that I use it occasionally, but generally prefer the built in windows tools.

I use it a lot, but as others said, it would be great if there was grouping of some sort ot help differentiate between billions, million, thousands, etc. Just even put in commas and periods would be great, or just space every group of 3 numbers slightly further apart, instead of having to painstakingly count every 3 groups of numbers

Regarding the notepad, I use that so much, I don't know what I would do without it....

Sometimes.

But I confess when I'm logged in with my industry alt, I'm more likely to tab out and use my own, actual physical calculator while updating spreadsheets.

And sometimes I'm too lazy for calculators and just put formulas into the spreadsheets to the math for me. But I really do sometimes use the in-game calculator! (And I hate every minute of it, seriously, the text on it is far too small and I get some kind of weird lag when typing numbers into it. It's barely noticable, but it's enough to make me mess up numbers then and when.)

Hopefully CCP will one day go back to that calculator and run some kind optimization process or something on it. The thing isn't bad, just a bit wonky. Like if it had been "programmed" by just porting the Windows-calculator into Eve.
