After :18 months: of production, the small team of Swedish media students who attended Fanfest 2013 have finally released their documentary, which focuses on the relationship between CCP and the EVE Online community in 'a tale of dedicated fans, consumer power, conflict and redemption.'

The Mittani Quoted me
"Social microcosm of a civilization"
and casually passed it off as how own original thought.

I enjoyed everything but the part where you cut out my interview in it's entirety and covered more than 50% of the documentary with a guy who paraphrased what I said and in some parts plagiarized me.

To OP: Watching the documentary now, so far loving it. Cheers. Big smile

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

A great job to all involved. Also, Xenuria plagarized that quote from me first, so just ignore him.

I have removed some rule breaking posts and those quoting them. As always I let some edge cases stay.
Please people, keep it on topic and above all civil!

The Rules:
4. Personal attacks are prohibited.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another forum user. Posts of this nature are not beneficial to the community spirit that CCP promote and as such they will not be tolerated.

26. Off-topic posting is prohibited.

Off-topic posting is permitted within reason, as sometimes a single comment may color or lighten the tone of discussion. However, excessive posting of off-topic remarks in an attempt to derail a thread may result in the thread being locked, or a forum warning being issued.

Edit: I have also taken the liberty of pointing CCP at this thread as they are generally rather enthusiastic about these kind of things. Can't blame them really, there is some quality stuff made about EvE. And this one is going to end quite high on my favourite list I might add....Cool

This is incredibly good work. I've seen good docos and bad docos, and the bad ones always have one thing in common - they pick a side. Not only did this one not pick a side, it didn't even present a side to choose, it just delivered an account of an event in EVE online's history that played a large part in shaping the game as it is today, and it explains why it helped shape the game today as well, which is the analytical part of the documentary that makes it great for me. It didn't try to make CCP look like a bad guy or a company that can do no wrong, it showed them as they are, a great company but like any other, as great as it is possible to be for anything that is subject to human nature and its flaws.

The time and effort you've put into this is worth something. I noticed you closed your Indiegogo campaign. Is there any other way to make a donation toward future documentaries that you might wish to undertake? I enjoy good documentaries and believe credit is due where it is deserved.

That is a great video indeed!

Too bad that years later we still have that single player prison and we are still supposed to pay real-world money for virtual goods in a subscription game. I'm not convinced that we have really accomplished that much...
