CCP Abandoning support for 3.5" floppy?

Up until the Cirius expansion it was still possible to utilize a large number of 3.5 inch floppy disks to install EVE, using 7-Zip.

The new expansion contains massive file sizes that can no longer be compressed to span across multiple floppy disks.

I am asking that CCP cut the size of some of these files or offer a lower-resolution version of the pirate hulls.

I am not certain that this was an intentional move on CCP's development team to remove 3.5" supporters from their subscription pool, but there may be an unaccountable number of people who can't play the new expansion due to this issue.
