Mass test on Singularity on Thursday, 10th of July, at 17:00 UTC

Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Thursday, July 10th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time).

What exactly is being tested?

  • Last checks on stability and performance for the Crius release
  • Industry performance tests


How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Read the Instructions at http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Singularity and read general instructions about mass tests at http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Mass_testing
Join the in-game channel "MassTesting"


Test steps:

  • Meet in PVH8-0
  • Dock in the station (PVH8-0 - Moon 8 - Thukker Mix Factory)
  • Buy 1 blueprint for any small ammunition (Hybrid, Projectile, Missile, Frequency Crystals)
  • Buy lots of different blueprints
  • Buy minerals to perform 1 run of manufacturing on the small ammunition blueprint
  • Manufacture 1 run of small ammunition
  • Spam Industry UI while waiting for job completion (change tabs, open/close window repeatedly, scroll through blueprints)
  • Deliver
  • 1 run of ME research on the blueprint
  • Deliver
  • 1 run of TE research on the blueprint
  • Deliver
  • Produce 1 copy of the blueprint
  • Deliver
  • Anyone with skills can try and invent on the blueprint
  • Bidding on teams
  • Reprocess the small ammunition


What else should I know?

  • Participants should have the skill 'Industry' trained to 1.
  • We will be moving players to the test system - join the channel massmoveme and type moveme
  • 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test

To buy minerals of the right kind:

Buy a bit more than twice the quantity of ammo you're going to manufacture. (so a few hundred units.) Refine it.

You could always buy a couple battleships or freighters and just reprocess them :). Far cheaper than buying tritanium at 100 ISK!

Efficiency (a/k/a "Performance")

IN THAT ORDER.

Because if you don't care if it's correct, I can make it a lot more efficient.

AFAIK, there are still big chunks of Crius that are not yet correct.

Software development is far more complex than that. In this case however, what we want to make more efficient is correct at this point. The test comes in the right time in case we need to make improvements. All help is appreciated!

There will be no official CCP fleets.

If people want to PEW PEW after the official mass test though.....

Of course there are huge chunks of this mess that are not correct yet.
LP based Blueprints make no sense, my ME3 archon BPO on Sisi says 8% waste, which we were promised would be adjusted, but has not, etc etc.

But hey, they will plow ahead, dump it on TQ, then go on vacation. What could possibly go wrong?

I'm just now getting finished with the installation for the test server. Is it still worthwhile logging on being almost an hour late?

I never was able to submit an invention job during the test.

Unable to install job due to the following reasons:
The job cost has changed
The facility tax rates have changed
Error.MISMATCH_COST (317, 222)
Error.MISMATCH_TAX (32, 22)

I could get past a similar error for other types of jobs by selecting a different blueprint, but not invention.

I might be a bit OT here so just a quick note: I would be happy to join you all on the test server if I didn't find out about the mass test at 19:30 eve time. I'm reading news displayed in eve launcher quite regulary and I try to keep up with built-in eve calendar. Did I miss that or is there another channel I should watch?

There was a dedicated forum post created on Monday. If you are interested in taking part in future mass tests, which we hope you are, keep an eye on the test server feedback area of the forums.
