"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The summary of the previous week 25/2014 can be found here. Available is also the overview 2014.

The current "This Week in EVE" gives on overview of the week from July 5th to 11th

  • 'Little Things' coming to EVE Online in Crius - Forum discussion
    • CCP Punkturis shows in her latest blog the 'Little Things' (small improvements to the daily life in EVE) coming with Crius. Most prominent is the skillless module fitting and a flag to exempt you from fleet warps.

  • Teams and the Revamp of Industry in EVE Online - Forum discussion
    • With Crius you can bid on NPC worker teams to be installed in solar systems of choice. Those worker teams will give certain benefits, but come at a cost. CCP SoniClover goes in this blog into the details of team specialization.

  • In-Space Brackets revisited with Crius - Forum discussion
    • In-Space brackets are lists that are displayed when you hover your mouse over item(s) in space. CCP Delegate Zero presents the latest improvements to those brackets such as a new compact bracket mode and the option to choose how bracket lists are displayed. He also gives an outlook on Tooltip improvements.

  • Industry & 3rd Party Developers - Forum discussion
    • With the Industry changes coming in Crius many third party tools and websites need to get updated. In order to give the fantastic third party developers (please give them all a massive round of applause) and everyone else the means to update their websites, tools and spreadsheets, CCP Nullarbor explains updates to the API, CREST, formulas and points to the Crius SDE.

  • GM statement on biomassing chars to avoid consequences from in-game actions - this is not allowed!
    • Biomassing your characters to avoid (negative) consequences of your in-game actions is not allowed. GM Lelouch explains what alt recycling is and why it is not allowed. Please be aware that illicit alt recycling can have severe consequences to all your player accounts.

  • Valkyrie on PC (with Oculus) and PS4 (with Morpheus)
    • CCP karuck confirms again that EVE: Valkyrie will be launched on the PC using the Oculus headset. Valkyrie will be also available on the PS4 using the Morpheus headset.

  • Ideas for EVE: Valkyrie
    • CCP karuk comments on some ideas for EVE: Valkyrie, namely destructibility of crafts and environment. Please note thought that those are just ideas and not confirmations of any features.

  • Official player gathering in Serbia August 1st
    • Rejoice and join the official player gathering in Serbia on August 1st. Not only will you see CCP participation, but also a lot of excitement and fun time - just have a look at the similar player gathering previous year!

  • Advertise on EVE TV during Alliance Tournament XII
    • CCP ArnarV invites you to advertise on EVE TV during the Alliance Tournament XII. Please check out the guidelines and technical rules before you submit any ads. If you use copyrighted material in your ad, please consider CCP ArnarV's replies here and here.

  • Alliance Tournament XII starts August 16th
    • The first match of the Alliance Tournament XII starts August 16th and not July 20th as the schedule on the website states. The website schedule will be updated and fixed as soon as possible.

    any news on ship/module re-balancing for crius?

    really hoping for T3's but somehow i doubt it Sad

    T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

    ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

    This week we also announced Evesterdam! It's one of the biggest eve player meets in europe happening in Amsterdam on october 4th :)
