Andven Werht
===============

"We must contact the other Empires!", Sano Isukka urged as the alarms start.

Andven Werht fell back into his chair. "What have we done?", he says.

"I don't have much time, listen carefully! The virus is going to reach the docking bay in less then 1hour, you must mobilize the navy as fa..."

Andven Werht losses his focus for a brief moment, recollecting what happened last time when Jove made contact with the other empires.

"War.", he murmurs to himself.

"Sir?"

"Have you forgot what happened in AD 23216?", Werht raises his voice. "The first thing that Empress Jamyl I will do, is lead the Amarr Armada to our doors. Ever since Vak'Atioth they have been looking for an excuse to..."

Werht gets interrupted by a loud screeching sound, cutting of communication with Sano Isukka and the Genolution cloning facility that orbits Planet V in system 9-ERCP.

"Sano" ... "Sano!" he shouts. Nothing.

Making decisions that can affect the entire universe as we know it? Not an alien concept for the Jove Directorate. It's inner workings although unknown to the Empires, viewed only as a mysterious authority, has been heavily involved in humanithy's faith.

Andven Werht's life, CEO of Jove Directorate started just like any other Jovian life, inside a tube, at a cloning facility.

Jove
===============

Once the EVE Gate closed behind in AD 8061, the Jove Empire felt the need to adapt to it's new environment. They embraced genetic engineering and experimented for thousands of years, modifying their DNA as much as their technology allowed.
They believed they were capable of anything as their powers grew, pushing their bodies to bizzare mutations.
Mutations which ultimately will lead to their demise.

Jovians have a weird appearance. Compared to other inhabitants of New Eden, they have a small stature, their height never exceeding 4 feet while their skin is grayish yellow. Their strangest feature? Their veins are clearly visible.

Sano Isukka
===============

"You must mobilize the navy as far away as possible from 9-ERCP!", she yells into the comms. "Sir?".
"The virus just reached our communication deck, we lost all contact to Jove!", shouts Quasic trying to make himself heard over the blaring sound of the alarm.
"Dammit. We have to warn the Directorate, if the navy gets inside the system it could spell the end of humanity as we know it. And please turn off that alarm down, I can't even hear my thoughts."
"On it!"

When it comes to genetic engineering, Sano was a prodigy.
In YC 105, Sano combined the capsule with the new cloning technology, paving ways to immortality starting the Empyrean Age as we know it.
Ever since her best friend Lila succumbed to the terrible Jovian disease in YC 89, she spent all her time at the Genolution HQ in 9-ERCP trying to reverse the terrible side effects that now impacts the Jovian life.

Jovian Disease
===============

At one point in their history, the Jovians began to interfere with their basic instincts, curbing their aggression and sexual instincts and cultivating strange new ones instead.
The consequences for their endeavours? The dreaded Jovian Disease.
Although not infectious to other races, among Jovians the disease causes depression so deep that the victim loses the will to live and death results in a couple of weeks.

The Jovian disease has two forms. The rarer form that affects the fetuses, causing them to die as they develop in their artificial wombs, and the more common form, that shows itself as a continual decline in mental health.
Initial symptoms include losing the ability to focus on tasks, loss of apetite and a mild apathy, followed by a progression to depression and dementia.

For centuries the Jovians made efforts to reverse this horrific mutation but their DNA-structure has been damaged beyond repairs by the thousands of years of genetic engineering.

Impro
==============

In her efforts to put an end to the Jovian Disease, Sano Isukka focused on melding the Jove DNA with their high-tech technology.
Unsuccessful at first, she asked for help from Keschimiola Murppatoh, a tech genius that was at the head of Impro.

Impro is a small high-tech company, one of the few Jovian companies that operates outside Jove space actually. The company is well known throughout the universe for their superior electronic hardware.
It's HQ orbiting high above the 9th moon of Planet VIII in IAMZ-5 system, Impro provides the best space conditions one could ever hope for advanced high-tech research and electronic hardware manufacturing.

Rumors say that Impro is to blame for the freak teleporter accident that caused Misu Baniya the Jove Ambassador to lose his life in YC 106. He was reconstructed eventually at the Genolution cloning facility after his molecular fragments were recovered, but he was never the same.

Andven Werht
===============

Werht turns around slowly in his chair looking at the door that connects his quarters to the council hall through a narrow white corridor.
He leaps out of the chair and as he is about to walk through the door, the comms in his quarters pick up a transmission from Fleet Commander Kyr'Zoch.

"Sir, we just reached the 9-ERCP gate."
"Good, I want you and your fleet to jump in and make best speed to Genolution HQ Station. Once you get there, set up a blockade, if anything undocks from that station you have permission to engage.", says Andven Werht.
"Sir?", asks Kyr'Ozch dumbfounded.
"Just do as I tell you! You will be briefed once you have the blockade set up."
"Copy that Sir!"

At the age of 6, Andven Werht showed incredible strategic talent. He got noticed by the Jove Directorate when he beat Effottur Irdnard, Admiral of Jove flotilla in a friendly space simulation battle.

His ability to find patterns in the chaos that comes with space warfare, allowed him to predict the movement of the enemy's mothership fighters, inflicting heavy losses on Admiral Irdnard's side ultimately leading to his defeat.

Little does he know that the enemy that he is about to face will make even the casualties of the Amarr-Jove war look like nothing.
