Audio problems after Crucible

After I installed the Crucible patch, something new happened when I closed the eve client. When audio is enabled and the client is closed, my soundcard gets stuck playing a constant tone that I can not stop unless I restart my computer. This does not happen when audio is disabled, and did not happen prior to crucible.

So far this is what I have tried:

Clear Eve cache
Reinstall audio drivers
Uninstall and reinstall Eve client

My Sound card (ASUS Xonar D2X) has done this before when a game crashes which is why I suspect my client is not closing properly. But after trying the above, it still does it. I have a laptop and it does not have the same problem. Before I buy a new sound card or write a bug report, I wanted to see if anyone else has this issue or some insight on how to solve this problem.

This is an issue with the Asus Xonar sound card and from what I can find not limited to EVE and happening in some other games as well.

It appears that going to the Asus Control Center and disabling "GX" mode helps on this matter.

It has helped, thank you. The problem no longer exists after disabling "GX" mode.
