Help! Am I going bitter vet or is this a normal psychological reaction?

Recently my bounty has dropped below 1B. Most of said bounty (a nice 1.2B) was once placed upon me by a wealthy gentlemen who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and was administered a proper demonstration of the reasons why. This singular event increased my bounty of 200m with a billion, and I was extatic at it's initial placement.

However, recent events have caused a massive decrease in this bounty. Once it dropped below 1B I came to the conclusion I had effectively thrown away five times the amount lost. Not only that, but I have not recieved any more bounty from anyone, let alone one of such magnitude. Frankly, I feel like a failure. I will never make Most Wanted without resorting to activities bordering on a EULA breach, join the snoozefest that is hisec ganking, or other pubbie activities that make me hate myself. I even paid CONCORD last week to get some sec standing back. I used to work for that. You see how depressed I am!? I am blinded by ISK... AM I TURNING INTO A CAREBEAR?

In short, the bounty system works as intended. These constant CONCORD bribes and weekly councelling at our Thukker station are draining my wallet while I'm torn between working my ass off to become a criminal of some repute, or lose almost 5 billion in assets to clear my name and be accepted in Incursion fleets as an upstandinng citizen.

Go and fly with the incursion fleets anyway. They're a skittish lot and may well pay you to go elsewhere
