Necroing threads is sad, I highly doubt they will get a voice. Miners like to be themselves which means pisses pvpers off. This all happens on a fair basis so I doubt any voice would help.

Miners will get an actual voice when they stop whining!

I am a miner and have been for 2 years. I also mission run, and in all that time I have only been ganked once. I never came on forums and whined about it as I see it as a valid Eve play style. I made a mistake. I lost a ship. I moved the hell on and adapted!

The whining by many is what causes miners to be ridiculed openly on the forums because they can't seem to accept Eve for exactly what it is and find ways to fit into the existing system.

The inherent dangers of Eve are what many of us who mine find exciting and why we still play. Bottom line is learn to protect yourself and pay attention to space around you.

The idea that Goons and other's like them are killing Eve is ridiculous since there are other large corps and alliances out there who hold null systems; its not just a game of Goon gank fest! Get over yourselves, make friends, join a bigger corp if needed for protection, and play the game as it stands sans whining!

I'd tend to agree with Choc talar here. There are ways of handling the Goons and surviving. It's okay to complain, but not in a general way. It is what it is. The ideas mentioned in his post are a good start.

On the other hand, if you want to ensure that some members of the CSM support and speak up for miners, (I happen to also do a lot of mining) then you may wish to support an independent candidate like myself. If you do want to do this please like my election post (to get me actually onto the shortlist) and then to vote for me in the election itself.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. When I die, all those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
