Unfortunately jumping into the loan arena doesn't work out well for most. It takes quite a bit of research of seeing what works and what doesn't, especially for a first time loan.

Some things that don't work are: limited business prospectus, first time poster in MD with an alt, an initial offering in the 1b or higher range. There are some unsavory characters in eve (*Gasp!) that may just grab the isk and run and both the need to invest a lot of time to get to any meaningful theft range and the use of main characters tends to reduce the typical theft attempts.

Investing time towards your business/outlines, investing time and effort into your prospectus, the time put into building a solid reputation for honesty and being a contributor in the forums are all things you should aim for if you're looking to get into the uncolateralized loan side of the game

edit: I will say it's gotten much harder to get uncolateralized loans now that audits are no longer common place. It's a shame too as this part of the meta game is quite fun and challenging.

Shine it up a bit, remember that you're doing an elevator pitch here. You've got just a couple of paragraphs to sell yourself to potential investors all the while walking a tightrope with trolls throwing things at you.

The best way IMO to get uncolateralized loans is as I said above: invests time. The people looking to get a quick buck are looking for just that, a QUICK buck. They don't want to plot and scheme for a long payout, they want the isk fast. Contribute to the community and make contacts. Offer advice and do background checks on those putting up loan requests, calling out red flags that the community should know. The longer you're active in MD, the more background info we have to do our own background checks on you. As it is we know nothing about you.

I'm out of town for a few days but when I get back I'll see if we can work something out. I'd rather not put up collateral as pretty much every thing I have is tied up in what I'm trading but I realize it's probably necessary at this point

Ah, my mistake, I thought that you had filled most of the want to buys, rather than issued them.

Seems he initially was asking for a minimum of 1b, then edited his post to make it 500m.. fine fine.. but then he had to go and say "EDIT: Found a typo"...

Well, I offered to fill his loan but he apparently isn't willing to give an API thus he's not worth the risk.
