i tried yerterday given fleet history take too much space now, but if you can scale back the chat you can't for the others.
and things like the overview where way too small for me.

This is a great addition, however I would prefer a separate option to scale just the UI text, as I'm happy with the size of my HUD and have never experienced HUD envy...

The reason I'll be using the scaling option will be to reduce the size of the new font to something like it's current size on TQ, but I'd rather not have to reduce the size of all my icons, controls and the HUD in order to achieve that.

Apart from that small niggle, this is a fantastic piece of work Big smile

Exactly, This is what I would like to have. Just a bigger FONT. The UI itself is OK, if I scale it up, then the bigger UI remove precious space.

This is the worst font scaling imaginable. I thought it was a bug, now I find it's intentional. You can't just scale a font, that's why a single font is created in multiple sizes. The distance between the letters and the height of the different parts of the letters is all wrong making it very difficult to read. Please change this so we can choose our own font. Honestly without exaggeration I won't be able to continue playing if that's what I have to read.

And what is so difficult about antialiasing the font? That's pretty basic stuff. You guys should avoid trying to write your own font scalers, just use the text services provided by the platform the client runs on. This is an excellent example of how writing your own platform independent methods can fail miserably. I love EVE and I love you guys for writing it, but this is UI that just wouldn't ship on most products.

i'd still like to request a specific change to the little green overheat slit on top of overheatable modules.

it's just too small and annoying to hit consistenly.

any way to make that bigger? like permanently?

I came here to post something pedantic about the new font but..

This is so much more important. With all the awesome 'why-wasn't-it-like-this-before's in the expansion this one has gotten overlooked

Currently the icons (ship icons, OV icons, bracket thingies, etc) are blurred too much on TQ on 90% UI. Also it's hard to read the ammunition's amount in a weapon on the 90% scale on TQ. I hope this improvement you're doing right now will solve this. Maybe I will later check this on sisi when i have the time. But anyway, thanks for imporving this.

I love the idea of UI scaling, but I have a problem with the implementation; the use of logical and actual pixels is great in theory, but in practice, especially when scaling text, certain problems arise.

I know that it requires a bit more programing time, but what should be done is to scale everything except the text then overlay a smaller font size over the scaled UI to prevent things like this from happening

Allow me to illustrate the issue:

I wondered what this was all about. I even checked the date and the dates of the posts to make sure I was not trapped in some kind of weird time bubble where Napoleon won the battle of Waterloo or something.

I bet somebody just wanted more Punkturis on the CCP page...

inb4 ban'd aid.

Also.

Confirming that UI scaling is p.cool but also needs some help. I'm sure you guys are on but I saw the repost of the devblog as an invitation to post.

(also, as an aside, I notice that the EVE window, when windowed, shows the name of the char on the account on the bottom, that is so awesome!!!!).

It's the little things.

Sure, want to recode the UI to be able to handle different fonts?

Or do you want some actually useful changes?

Either way I'd guess that our Duchess is able to do some heavy lifting, even in the coding sense.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I was pretty confused about this myself but hey, it's always nice to have some extra "face time" on the top of the dev blog page, no? : >

It's nice having this feature, by the way. It was the first new Crucible option that I turned on and tried out and it has made playing Eve so much easier for me. Thank you!

This is indeed a very nice feature - I would however LOVE for certain items to seperately scaled...
Keeping all my windows in the same size, but still being able to scale down my HUD would be lovely :-)
