Quick question. Say my alliance has a POS that alliance members can use to do ME/PE research on BPOs. What happens if that POS gets blown up while my BPOs are being researched in it?

Also, what happens if that alliance decides to kick my corp out of the alliance while my BPOs are being researched in their POS?

Presumably you'd lose it.

However, to my knowledge (not an industry expert here) you can keep your BPOs in a corp hangar in the same system and use the POS to research them remotely.

Yes that is what I've done. I put them in the corp hangar, remotely used the POS to research them. So if the POS gets blown up or I get kicked from the alliance they just reappear in the corp hangar?

I'm almost certain that's how that works, but you may wish to wait for someone with a bit more personal experience on the subject for confirmation.

The BPO return to whence they came when a lab is unanchored or destroyed.

Hence it is preferable to keep them in a corporate hangar in an office in an NPC station in the same system.

Scientific Networking 1 is required to research from the station, but without the skill the researcher can also be within 3k of the lab and start a job.
