Outlaw the Usage of Pirate Ships From High-Sec

Make all the bonuses of pirate faction ships dependent on the sec status of the pilot. Full bonus at -10 sec, no bonus at -5 sec.

Great idea! They have already proven they can add system specific anomalies in wormholes. There is no reason why they cannot extend this to known space.

Limiting all damage output in high-sec to safe levels will also solve peoples issues with suicide ganking.

Yeah, it was a joke... mostly. I think it's also an interesting idea that would provide a useful up side to be an outlaw. I wouldn't apply it to the existing pirate ships because of ~RAGE~, but it'd be fun to see sec status-related bonuses on a future ship class.

Hey Spank, long time no see.

I actually agree with your points. Implementation would be a huge issue. You know how it is: once you let something go, changing it towards more logical conclusions generates oceans of tears and nerd rage.

The way I would have done it was to set up multiple tiers of faction ships and let the higher tiers be restricted, kind of like teasing the players to leave highsec if they want to enjoy more firepower.


Exactly my idea, with a little refinement. Maybe there can be petty larcenies for piloting lesser pirate ships, and heavier CONCORDOKKENED repercussions for flying the more dangerous powerful ships in lawful space.

I think this would be fun
Would make something that is a much better draw into Lowsec than the current
Its like hisec, except anyone can shoot you freely, there are these giant ships that will kill you and your home for being in their place - that they will abandon in 10 minutes, and moon mining

Oh and a special componenet assembly array
But hey at least you can do even more drugs!

I think it would be a fun plan, good reasoning too since the pirates dont have capsuleers galore for the most part. So you could say the more pirate crew the better the abilities.

Whereas the empires have capsuleer tech galore and thus make it common usage
Hence why the Gurista valkyrie project thing is such an "oh ****" moment for the empires and everyone
Especially as not even the Sansha figured i out.
