Fw Mechanics Actively Discourage Elite PVP

Title says it all. For our purposes, I will define elite pvp for the uninitiated.

Elite PVP - The use of huge blobs, capital ships, and metagaming to defeat a target you already significantly outnumbered.

The unfortunate truth is that CCP has made elite pvp almost impossible in FW. Back in my day, in the olden days, Faction Wars was a very different place with regular battleship blobs soaring over 100 every night and capitals and supercapitals being dropped pretty frequently for lo sec. Then, everyone involved suddenly lost their courage and started flying around in frigates.

And eventually the game mechanics were changed so that only cruisers and smaller are viable in FW. It is a sad story, truly, but not irreversible.

Simply remove acceleration gates from FW sites and all will be right in the universe. Sure, you'll upset the people who think being good in a 1v1 makes them an elite PVPer, but as we all can clearly see from nullsec nobody gets big by being good at a 1v1.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Shhhhhhhhh..... the unwashed masses of Null need "bread and circuses", too, now that they have effectively created a "slave" class to "farm their fields" in their subjugated "provinces". Legions of troops get bored easily, and the last thing you want is bored troops.

I agree with the OP. Supercarrier drops and titan bridges would fix the issue that is FW.

What is the definition of blobbing?

I thought having more pilots on your side was "Elite PvP" in Eve.

Or it could be because of some entitys have gotten so massive super cap fleets, and cyno chains that any dropping of caps/supers in low sec = insta death to them most of the time.

To me elite PVP is a single pilot that uses expensive fits (for your average EVE player) and knows how to use them and does fly them all the time and generally kills a lot of ships and does fight outnumbered. I was inactive for a long long time, generally corps back in my day that did that were D.N.A and Mercenary Forces, I hope corps like that still exist in EVE if not ... =/ Blobing even BS blobing is not elite PVP...

Not sure whether trolling, or naive. You've defined Blob warfare, not elite pvp.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Tbf, I've always had this image in my mind. Hence, 'derty' blobbers.
