All he had to do was buy a char that had a clone on the station.
Pod the clone back to station, rent a corp office, then he can move other clones there if desired (Unless that has changed since I checked like 10 years ago)...

I have several clones (now jumpclones) installed in alliances that I have never been in.. So it's not that difficult to see how it happened.

Him letting it happen (Keeping assets in corp hangar) was a bit silly.

the right word is reckless to leave items in corp hangar but wasn't my decision

I'm actually in a position to retrieve items from the station in question, but the nebulous nature of the fees involved is a red flag.

Plus, hauling the stuff to somewhere it can be sold will be a pain.

4 billion, plus seller agrees to pay the impound fee. You can have the corp back afterwards. Deal?
