I can attest to all that a super massive power bloc is not new and not lasting. People were saying the same thing about the NC like what, a year ago, year and a half ago. Oh, but this power bloc is different, right?

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

I'm too young to remember the early days of Eve directly, but I do recall reading stories on the gaming sites and later reading accounts of the first truly massive alliances and how almost all of null was unified under a single heirarchy in 2004 or something like that.

What happened? They were crushed under their own weight. Administration of such an empire requires a lot of work, and a lot of people to do that work. Each one of those people is a potential thief or spy. The more people you have, the more likely you'll see internal conflict that escalates to the point of a division. Give it a few months and someone will cause something to blow up and change the game.

Nope, all the real PvP action is in high-sec belts these days.

Even on Eve-o Forums, I have come accross such incoherent nonsense very rarely.

You must be ex-NC - reminds me of their theories on the Fukushima tsunamis impact on RMT and its influence on the decline of their fagot-empire...

But when this is finally done, when virtually all of 0.0 is under one principle influence, what of CCP? Normally I would be blasting CCP for letting this actually happen, but sincerely it was no fault of there’s.

It's their fault. Yes - Eve is a sandbox, but CCP creates the environment where AFK moongoo wastelands with occasional botting renter-alliances, donut-bluelists and occasional blobs are the most effective way to hold sov.

Take your Ritalin, hon.

All the DRF has done is recognize what apparently a lot of the rest of the players didn't. BoB, that held sway this way for so long was in the end a paper tiger. They really didn't have the people to hold the territory they claimed. After finally realizing this, and sorta late in the game, a loose alliance was thrown together to demonstrate this fact. As such things go, it's easier to knock the bully off the various hills than to occupy the hills themselves.

To put it another way, the purpose of this alliance was only to boot BoB. Once that was done, their purpose was served and they didn't have the vision to take the next step...or they just didn't want to. The way being cleared, it was left up to whomever had the wherewithal and desire to go ahead and reoccupy what BoB once held. DRF has apparently done this. I'm not very happy that you can take RL money and buy success in this game...that fact alone puts CCP and the players on different and opposing sides in all this, but that's another story.

0.0 is very much there for the taking...until someone takes it. It is likely DRF doesn't have the online manpower to actually hold what they claim, anymore than BoB did. Eventually, a group of alliances will realize this, throw together another group, and slice and dice their ways to glory...again.

Who knows? Maybe even Goonswamp can at last put THEIR money where their MOUTHS are and show us how extremely uber they are all on their own...but yeah...they're in reality DRF flunkies....scratch that idiotic thought.

It's still an open game. It'll take what EVE has difficulty ginning-up, but that has to do with the character (or lack thereof) of the players more than anything else. However, DRF is too a paper tiger. If they hold as much map as the OP claims, they're over extended as was BoB and, ripe for the taking. It'll take an alliance of corporations whose heads are intelligent, inventive and determined...like I say, EVE has a hard time finding these sorts of people...pew pew.

The question is WHO? The further question is, when whomever it turns out to be does the deed will they repeat the same mistake, The Great American Blunderbuss, and leave to go do some digital nailbiting before the job is done?

Conquest has always been easier than control. It's a sword with two edges.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

I suspect there is a grain of truth to the stagnation. It would be why the null people are pushing for changes to force high sec players out there. They are bored and want fresh easy new targets to shoot at.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Being a long term member of PL, I can testify, some of what this guy says is true. Many of us ole timers, just haven’t been logging on any more, Mostly because of this. The old PL has been in fact dead for a while now. Oh yea, hey Fu** Nuts. We use secret alts for Sh*t like this, because we really don’t want the political fall out. I think even a simpleton like you can figure that out. I never signed up do to this kind of thing, that’s why quite a few are planning to leave.
