Hey fellow WH dwellers!

Pretty quick question. What sort of tools are available (IGB) that this community use to make their life easier to manage and organise. I know about hue he obvious ones like siggy and tripwire, but I can't seem to find any sort of organisational tools. I have a few ideas batting around my head, and I'm intrigued to know what sort of things are readily available.

The whole ideas been sparked by knowing that a lot of organisation for corp stuff, including PVE payouts and stuff is generally done with spreadsheets. Would be a lot simpler with more time doing what we enjoy if a lot of the ugly back end was removed from the equation. The need to set up massive spreadsheets and keep them updated.

Also, how much demand would there be for something like this in our community?

Thought I would post this here, as it's generally a Wormholer tool, so might as we'll ask the specific community sub forum.

Please keep it on topic.

Any questions about anything. Just ask... ;)

Siggy, Google Spreadsheets, Teamspeak Music bot, and Jabber are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head Lol

Most of the bigger/more organised corps have their own "in house" tools for dealing with stuff like that and often won't use 3rd party tools (or share much detail about them) for "opsec" reasons.

So many threads on this.....

Siggy, wormhol.es, w-space, vippy (if you're in the cool guys club), and a few others that aren't as good.

Siggy is pretty good for a public mapping tool, as it has a great GUI and is easy to understand where you are in your chain.

Wormhol.es is good for mapping where you've been. I haven't used it too much, so I recommend experimenting with it.

Vippy is proprietary and you can only use it if you're in Disavowed or know some of the cool dudes in VFI that will let you use it. Personally, I use Vippy because, well, I think it's a bit better than Siggy and also everyone in the alliance can see where everyone else is and how far to go to kill that ratting carrier.

Reducing your holes to a quivering mess since 2009.

I have used Vippy and Siggy and Eve W-Space is every bit as good as either, I prefer it as we can implement custom code and API functionality. No offense intended at the authors, but everyone has their own preferences.

Fleet-Up is also a great tool as was mentioned.

Membership-wise, Google Spreadsheets, while they suck, are your friend. Big smile

Trello works pretty well for tracking tasks and whatnot.

Teamspeak. Take the time to register for a 500 user server license, you won't regret it.

Well the truly elite use out of party tools like Civ V, Dota, or watching the World Cup to minimize the amount of time that one actually spends playing eve.

On a more serious note: Siggy. Oh god yes. Even if you only have a few people in your corp, it's cheap, easy, effective, and it takes all of 2 minutes to explain how to use it to someone.

Fleet up us a cool tool, just remember to keep the fits updated.

Pretty much the above. If you're into wormhole-pvp and have a bigger group or are quite new to pvp, a mapping tool is kinda vital. When just doing things with my alts, there really is no need for a mapping tool as the info is superfluous - but with multiple unique people, you'll love one.

Cheers for the replies guys. We currently use Siggy ourselves and find it invaluable. Alot of day to day stuff is done as spreadsheets, which is what im trying to develop a solution for. Spreadsheets suck, and offer nowhere near as much flexibility and ease of use.

Are there any PVP planning tools anywhere, where people can organise and join fleet

Fleet-Up can be used for that. It will show some real handy info as well making life a tad easier for the FC and/or organizer...

Agony Unleashed have a good one - the code is available on Sourceforge but you have to install and run it on your own hardware/server - it uses php.
