Hi all. I just started playing about 2 days ago and I'm looking into doing some planetary interaction in high sec for now while I'm learning. I would like some advice on what's some skills and ships that would be useful for me...There is so much to learn so any advice is welcome .. Thx ..

On paper, PI seems like a good thing. What they don't say is that, for the most part, it's a good thing when done outside of high sec.

As much as it pains me to advise this for a brand new character, your best bet is to just stick with mining/missions for a while until you get a feel for the game. There are hundreds of PVE activities open to you once you have some skills built up, but that takes some time.

So do the tutorials, get a handle on the mechanics and keep any career decisions on hold for a while.

In all honesty; I did not fully read all post in this thread. I'm gonna give you some advice while utterly drunk and near incapable of typing properly;

IF you wanna stay into PI; train all those skills and get yourself some alts with PI skills on your main account.

When you're looking for a broader spectrum; join a corporation that claims to have your interest as a main activity. If true; stay and learn. If not; trade them in for a new group with the same claim and check out if they are in fact doing it. Keep that cycle going untill you find people that benefit you.

What skills to train for only matters if it helps you enjoy EVE more. Just train those and you're good to go.
