When I was 14 ...

... my body started creating dots all over.

Tiny, little, red dots. Wasn't really funny.
And I kept bleeding, when I cut myself accidentially.

It just didn't stop.

So we went to the hospital, St. Anna Kinderspital,
really nice place with nice nurses, doctors and all.

Soooo they said ... I'm just paraphrasing here ...
"Well, though luck, you probably have cancer!"

Bummer. Well ... tbh ... I didn't care. My mom was far more worried than I was,
for - from my POV - reasons that made no sense, so I simply decided not
to give a single **** as the 14 year old I was.

My parents visited me every day. They even bought me a notebook,
worth a gigantic pile of money back then. 486 ... Windows 3.11, COLOR LCD! :O

Three weeks later I was out. It just vanished. Poof. Went away.
I know why. They don't. Explaining is pointless, people will just argue.

The sadest part about this whole experience was a little girl on the station
opposite of mine. I was in 2B, she was in 2A. I never met her, but my parents
told me about her wanting a Gizmo ... and that her parents couldn't find one.

Sooooo I, of course as I am me, rallied my friends back then to go and find
that ******* Gizmo ... and a friend went around with his bike,
cruising through the city in search of a Gizmo.

And she got her Gizmo and was happy.
She was happy. I was happy for making her happy.

Then she died.

She was 4.

And I burst out in tears literally every single time I tell this story.

Just like now.

**** you, LS.

+1

Dat young initiative tho. A shame the girl died though. Still, those last few moments of her were (hopefully) happy, because of your effort. GJ brah.

This clearly shows AFK cloaking must be nerfed.

Oh boy I'd LOVE to understand your logic behind this!

When I was 14 Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" Was number 1 on the top 100 Billboards, Jurrasic Park, Schindler's List, Dazed and Confused and Tombstone were a few of the top movies for that year. Bill Clinton took office and the World Trade Center was bombed and a failed ATF raid in Waco Texas took place. Doom was released along with Star Fox and beanie babies were a thing.

Edit: I have red spots all over my body. I've never paid them any attention, I heard from unreliable sources they are from a vitamin deficiency and, satisfied with that unverified answer, have left it at that.

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

I just wanted to make a point in GD,
because some ******* said some **** he shouldn't have.

Also, Doom was great! I loved it! We played it via nullmodem cable against eachother.
Sadly we had no access to .WADs back then... :/

I always wanted to try the realistic ones. I loved these. You fall off ... you die.
You can't jump too high. Recoil. Rocket launchers REALLY shoot you in the sky ...

All that stuff.

Anyway, the dots came from my lack of thrombocytes, which means that all the small tunnels in my body,
where all the blood flows through, aren't really well maintained anymore.
So, essentially I guess, was I bleeding from the inside.

Oh my,
I thought you were trolling ! :O

I'm sorry! :D

I'm reading through the linked site ...

:O

O:

Okay? I haven't read it thoroughly, but I never heard of this stuff being used here in Austria ...

... I can ask around, though. ^_^

My red spots were different.
They were below the skin,
as if they were inked. And smaller.
