why would i block that thread? i simply told the OP to keep personal stuff to himself and thats that.

Because what he did is digital equivalent of standing on a busy intersection downtown and yelling to everyone and noone in particular about something, does not matter what.

And when you do that, others have a right to either support you, or tell you to take it someplace else. Which I did. Crass and heartless someone said - that's subjective. To me its normal to keep personal issues to myself, and I find contrary behavior crass and heartless. Who is to say which is right and which is wrong?

I don't disagree with the notion of private stuff remaining private. Obviously this person feels comfortable, though, with sharing deeply personal information, and there must a reason for doing so. Maybe sharing such information with us is easier than sharing with other folks, and it might be a way to gain a little control over a seemingly uncontrollable situation. You don't have to agree with the poster, but you don't have to call them out, either. However, that's your opinion, and you have every right to express it, but don't put it out there without expecting some negative feedback. This is still EVE; you don't know when players are going to have a sudden attack of compassion!

Odd, I've seen no trolling here. I simply see facts being stating about how the Eve Community would be better off without you. You don't care about its members, we the members surely do not care about you.

It may sound harsh, but public means respecting other's right NOT to be informed of personal details of certain nature. Im not being hateful or anything, I just dont want to know about certain things. And there is a reason why certain topics are off limits in the EULA.

Please keep topics here in general direction of EVE.
