How's low sec?

Been awhile since I've last played and, considering how long i've been gone for, everything has changed dramatically. I was just curious what the state of low sec is like ATM? There have been a lot of changes to FW, Merc contracts, and security status. Is low sec still the bait and overkill region I remember? Is piracy still alive and what corps are yarring the place up now? Is wormhole pvp still active? Will Tyrion survive next season? Can someone pirate and keep a high sec status with the changes to sec status in general (should I even bother?)? Thanks in advance for the responses.

FW lowsec is probably the most active.

Caldari lowsec systems always seem to have people lurking, including that one PL guy with his 18xISBoxed Augoror Logi alts (wtf is with that) in Tama, i think.

Actually there is 97% chance of getting dropped by SC or PL.

Sooo then, not much has changed. Last time I played, MOMs just got super buffed and 0.0 corps were just starting to hotdrop lowsec with them.

Just came back to the game myself, but it's my understanding that null is currently between wars and have arranged not to horn in on each other's turf. I imagine that's generating a lot of pent up seed that needs to be smeared on the faces of lowsec and npc nullsec residents. Bunch of super-carriers makes one hell of a moneyshot.

Lowsec is alive and well, those guys saying that everything is cyno bait is definitely not true. Small gang warfare is more prevalent in lowsec than it is in nullsec IMO. There are plenty of good fights to be had, sure there are the cyno guys as well, but once you learn your area well you'll know who to avoid. Lowsec got some recent income buffs, and FW is also nice for some easy no fuss PvP, overall I'd say lowsec is the most fun space right now.

qft, lowsec is in good shape right now - the pvp is readily available, and piracy is still available with the added pve content.
